Version 1.3 adds four game themes and makes the app feel more at home on iPhone and iPad. NEW • Four themes to choose from on the home screen: Gilded Stone, Mood Club, Paw Parade and Midnight Ornaments. Each has its own board, pieces, animations and sounds. • Menu screens slide in and out like other iPhone apps, and you can swipe from the left edge to go back. • Settings → Rate Abbalone opens the App Store page. After you have finished a few games, the app may occasionally ask for a rating using Apple's standard prompt. • An optional choice to share usage analytics, asked once on the home screen and changeable any time in Settings. It is off unless you allow it. • Links to our Terms of Service on the home and sign-in screens, and a Follow us on Instagram link in Profile. IMPROVED • On iPad, the game screen fits in landscape and Split View without scrolling. • Text fields stay above the keyboard. • Buttons and links are easier to tap and are better labelled for VoiceOver. REMOVED • The Update Required screen. The app no longer checks for a minimum version.

Version 1.2 brings a redesigned home screen, more dependable local play, and removes two online features. NEW AND IMPROVED • Redesigned home screen with four play options (Play vs Bot, Pass & Play, Create Game and Join Game), plus Daily Challenge, your win count and Profile. • How to Play, with the rules and a guided practice game, has moved to Profile. • Guests can now open Settings to change sounds, haptics and the default board layout. • Bot and Pass & Play games start without waiting for sign-in, and an unfinished local game resumes after the app is closed. • A banner shows when your device is offline. • Leaving an unfinished game now asks for confirmation. • Deleting your account now asks you to sign in again first. • Board cells have accessibility labels and keyboard support. REMOVED • Voice calls during online games. • Notifications when your opponent makes a move. Optional notifications are now a daily challenge reminder and a daily motivational message. FIXED • The Haptic Feedback setting is now respected throughout the game. • Your saved default board layout now applies to new games.
