NEW IN 1.7 The update that fills in everything around the match: puzzles you progress through, friends you can actually find, achievements worth chasing, and a board that behaves the way you expect. PUZZLES Daily puzzles are no longer a flat list. They sit on a path you move along, each step harder than the last, with your puzzle rating beside it — solve one above your level and it goes up, miss an easy one and it comes back down. - Rush: solve as many as you can against the clock, your best run is kept - Endgame puzzles: positions where a single wall decides the game - A puzzle leaderboard, separate from the match one, so solving counts for something - Three fresh puzzles every day, as before FRIENDS - Add a friend by their player code, or send a link that opens straight into a match - Requests you can accept or decline, instead of anyone landing in your list - Challenge a friend to a private game from their card, with no room code to dictate over the phone - See which of your friends are online before you invite them PROGRESS - Achievements for the things you already do: win streaks, perfect puzzle days, walls that turn a game around - A ranks screen that spells out every league and what rating it asks for, so the next step is never a guess - Season details: where you stand now, what the next league needs, how long is left - A daily win streak that counts up and shows on your profile IN A MATCH - Emotes and quick phrases: react to your opponent without leaving the board - A warning when your clock drops low, so a won game is not lost to a glance away - Walls go back to one way of being placed. Drag the wall where you want it and let go. The mode where a wall stuck to your hand until you tapped the board is gone, along with the taps that put walls where nobody meant them - Red always moves second, in every match. That now holds in rooms opened from the Android app and through a whole chain of rematches, not only in rooms this app created. Before, the order came from who opened the room, and in some of them red started - Leave by accident and you get a window to come back before the match is given away - Report a player straight from the result card, without hunting for where that button lives - Fixed: after you resigned, the result screen did not appear at all NOTIFICATIONS Reminders are no longer one daily send to everyone. They follow your own play now: a nudge a day after you stop, a different one after a week away, your rating summary once a week, and a word when the lobby is unusually busy. Fewer messages, and a reason behind each one. LOOK AND FEEL - Board themes, wall skins and pawn colours gathered into one place, with what you already own marked and ready to switch between - Your items live on their own screen, so a theme you unlocked months ago is not buried in a menu - Replays can be saved as video and shared, which is the fastest way to settle an argument about a wall Most of this list came from players writing in. The engine walks the game move by move, marks every inaccuracy, mistake and blunder, and shows the move you should have played — highlighted right on the board. - Accuracy score for you and your opponent - Win chance graph across the whole game - One tap jumps straight to your worst move DAYLIGHT BOARD A new free light board for playing in bright light. Pick it where you pick the other boards. FAIR ONLINE Hints now work only against the computer. An engine whispering the best move has no place in a match against a real person. NEW IN 1.5 - Hints: on your turn, tap HINT and the engine highlights the best move in gold — free for everyone. - Steps-to-goal counter under the board: see at a glance whose path is shorter. - Optimal-move stats: stars in the players panel count how many of your moves the engine would have played. - How to play: rules, modes and tips in one screen, with a guided tutorial game. - Tournaments tab: the first Wallz Open is coming — details and registration will appear here. FIXES - Your rating now shows correctly on the profile right after signing in. - Walls are picked up on the first tap and the board no longer scrolls under your finger. - The wall ghost floats above your fingertip while dragging, so you can see exactly where it lands. - Abandoned ranked matches are recorded properly in your history and rating. - Support form: message counter and a proper Done button above the keyboard. - Race mode removed.

The biggest update since launch. Online play, the leaderboard and your profile were rebuilt, and a lot of small things that quietly got in the way are gone. NEW - Support inside the app — write to us straight from your profile, no mail app needed. Build number, device and player ID are attached automatically. - Tap any player on the leaderboard to open their card: rank, ELO, league, record and their last games — watch any of them as a replay. - Password recovery opens from the email link straight back into the game. - A one-time hint points you to the ranks screen, so you can see what the next league takes. ONLINE - Ranked search no longer picks up friendly rooms — a ranked match always counts. - Leaving a 4-player room frees your seat instead of holding it. - An open room now waits on the search screen, like every other match. - A third rematch in a row is unranked. - After you resign, the rematch offer no longer appears. - Rating points count up in front of you on the result screen. - 4-player clocks are 1+1, the same as everywhere else in the game. PLAY - Fixed: walls could not be placed in daily puzzles. Puzzles work again — and there are more of them. - The bot checks every move for legality and can no longer play an impossible one. - Tap your own pawn to put a wall back on the panel; undo now sits next to the hint. LOOK AND FEEL - The blue left over from an early build is gone — every screen is in the Wallz palette. - Profile: your place in the top is calculated and shown, recent matches sit in their own block, and big numbers are grouped so 43 360 reads as a number. - Every mode tile has its own icon. - The room list lost a column it did not need and got the right button. - 178 missing lines translated — all languages complete. FIXES - Daily reminders were not reaching players who play often. - Several ways an online match could hang forever. - The match screen lays out by screen height — nothing crowds into the top third on tall devices. - Red always moves second.

The computer finally plays for real: the engine now searches several moves ahead instead of grabbing the nearest sane move. Still fair for beginners, finally interesting for everyone else. Walls - A second way to place a wall: tap the wall, then tap the spot on the board. Dragging works exactly as before. - Dragging is no longer stolen by the page scroll — the wall lands where you lead it. - The wall in your hand is now visible, with a cancel button next to it. - Changed your mind? Tap your own pawn to drop the wall and just move instead. Online - Presence check: if your opponent walks away, the match ends instead of hanging until the clock runs out. - 4-player mode: 30 seconds per turn — nobody stalls the game. - Your rating change now happens in front of you: the number counts up from your old Elo to the new one. Small things that got in the way - The leaderboard no longer breaks on refresh. - The Rate app button is fixed and opens the review form. - A daily reminder to come back to your game. DAILY CHALLENGE Three fresh puzzles every day, the same ones for every player, with a new set at 10:00 CET. Find the strongest move — some positions punish the obvious one. A LEADERBOARD WORTH CLIMBING The top 100 now has its own tab, with a podium for the top three and your own position pinned at the bottom: your rank, your percentile, your win streak and how far your rating moved since you last looked. Every quick match, every open room and every rated game draws on the full Wallz player base — so an opponent turns up faster, whatever the hour. ONE LADDER FOR EVERYONE Ratings and the global top 100 are now shared across platforms. Your Elo is measured against the whole community, and the players you beat see the same number you do. A SHARPER LOOK Wallz now ships with its own typefaces — Space Grotesk, Inter and Rajdhani — so every screen reads the way it was drawn.
