FIXED — Silent key on iOS 27 If you updated to iOS 27 and the key stopped beeping unless you held it down, this is the fix. Quick taps sound instantly again, in both button modes. Sorry about that one. NEW — Send mode (experimental) Compose a message and send it as an audio clip. Type it or tap it out. Works through Messages, WhatsApp, whatever — your recipient just gets beeps. Still rough around the edges. I'm working on tighter iMessage integration. Also: Backspace in Free mode — delete one letter instead of the whole line A little haptic tap when you press the key Cleaner text fields Fixed settings menu getting cut off with the keyboard open --... ...-- Benny

Hello all :) This one is just a quick bug fix, there was an issue around custom word lists. We also now have multiple custom word lists that can be turned on/off independently. Enjoy! As always, please share any feedback or feature requests you can think of. --... ...-- Benny

Signal 3.1 is here. New: Free mode An open-ended mode for tapping without a target. Just tap, dots and dashes decode as you go, building into letters and words. Use it to explore, drill a specific character, or send a message to no one in particular. Free mode is rough and experimental. I'd genuinely appreciate hearing about how we can tweak it to make it better. Feedback goes a long way :) --... ...-- Benny

New: Daily Signal Daily Signal is a once-per-day Morse challenge focused on real listening and comprehension. Each day, everyone receives the same short transmission. Listen to each word as many times as you need, then decode it correctly to move on. One mistake ends the run. Complete the message and the signal is received. --... ...--

Hello! just a quick update here... I wanted to move feedback and requests out of email and put them in a place where we can all see and comment on them. Now, the feedback button links to a free Patreon page. I hope to see you there :) --... ...-- Benny

Thanks so much to everyone who’s tried Signal and especially to those who took the time to send feedback. The messages are genuinely appreciated. One of the most requested updates was the ability to customize the word list, so that’s what this release focuses on. You can now add your own words and choose whether they play randomly or in order. --... ...-- Benny

Introducing Listen mode! Tapping is a great way to learn Morse, but one of the best ways to build real fluency is by listening and deciphering code by ear. Listen mode lets you hear letters, numbers, or words in Morse and practice identifying them at your own pace. Play the code as many times as you need, adjust the tone to your preference, and move smoothly from one code to the next as you practice. We also added an interactive key to help you on your way. Thanks again for all your feedback! -Ben

I appreciate everyone who has tried Signal, and I want to give a big thank-you to those who sent feedback. I’ve addressed the most common requests in this quick update. • Removed tone fade-in/out so the sound is much sharper. The tradeoff is that you may notice a bit of audio clicking — let me know if this feels like an improvement or if we should keep refining it. • Added a tone-frequency slider in Settings, because everyone has their own preference for pitch. We’re currently working on a larger — potentially customizable — word bank, and a new mode where you can listen to words and decipher them, for those who learn better by ear. More updates coming soon — keep the feedback coming!
