Bubble Around is a bubble shooter game where you shoot the bubbles from the inside out. In this game, the player attempts to clear a playfield that features a grid made of circles, a hexagon of six rows of balloon bubbles, a central projectile balloon, and a laser aiming line. The premise of the game is similar to that of the other version. The player simply needs to remove all the balloons and earn points. That said, the games differ in several ways. This version doesn't offer boosters. Instead, the player can only use their aiming line and a preview of the next balloon bubble at the lower-right corner to aid them. They remove bubbles when they create a cluster of three or more of the same color. They can also remove non-matching ones connected to the removed cluster. The player receives three instead of four free passes that protect them against penalties for failing to make a cluster. If they fail to remove balloons three times, a new row of mixed balloon bubbles appears along all sides of the shape and pushes the remaining preexisting ones into new positions. Bubbles Around! attempts to distract the player with a dynamic background filled with bubbles of varying colors and sizes that appear and disappear at different intervals.
