Deaftawk is a suite of digital applications providing a state-of-the-art and easy-to-use sign language interpretation services across multiple countries of the globe. 5% of the world population suffers from hearing disabilities and uses sign language for their daily communication. Deaftawk is making an attempt towards inclusivity by bringing people with hearing disabilities closer to their communities. Deaftawk offers a 24/7 real-time service right at the users' fingertips to facilitate a seamless communication. Deaftawk solution has four major components - the subscriber mobile app for the people with hearing disabilities, the interpreter mobile app for the certified sign language translators, a web portal for the guests and a web portal serving reporting dashboards. A subscriber can initiate a video call with an interpreter right away or schedule a call for a later time. While subscriber and interpreter are talking, the subscriber can invite a guest as well such as a doctor, tutor or a family member. When the guest joins a call, it now becomes a group call. Through the provision of such digital sign language interpretation services, the cost of accessing the physical interpreters for daily use is alleviated to a great extent. With focus on inclusion and empathy, Deaftawk's solution strives for an impactful contribution for making the lives of our fellows with hearing disabilities easier.
