Halide 2.16 — The iOS 18 release!
Halide 2.16 brings the biggest change ever to how you use your iPhone as a camera: On iOS 18, you can now add Halide as your camera of choice on your Lock Screen and Control Center. This is far beyond just using a Lock Screen widget: Halide will be able to launch and take shots even when your phone is locked.
LOCK SCREEN ACCESS
It’s here! Start setting up Lock Screen Capture by long-pressing on your wallpaper when your iPhone is unlocked. You can now remove the Camera or Flashlight control at the bottom of your screen and replace it with Halide! Some features of Halide will require unlocking your iPhone, of course — but our entire camera works great. We think this is an incredible upgrade to the camera experience in iPhones.
No need to choose: you can still swipe right on the Home Screen to go to Apple Camera. You can also just add Halide in the new iOS 18 Control Center!
Great for shooting Process Zero on the go, our new zero-AI, minimally processed way to shoot.
This update also adds support for Dark mode and Tinted icon mode!
OUR LAST UPDATE:
When you take a photo on your iPhone, your photo is processed. The newer your iPhone is, the more processing typically happens: sometimes AI even comes in to make significant changes to your shot. People are made brighter, noise is reduced, details enhanced and ‘flaws’ removed.
You might love this, or you might not. That can even change from photo to photo. That made us think: we want you to choose your processing the way you choose a lens?
Halide gives you total control: we now let you choose your image processing from the go. When you first set up Halide, or when you tap the format picker in the app, we now offer a choice:
Standard image processing, reduced processing, or something new: Process Zero.
PROCESS ZERO
Process Zero is our own process. We take raw sensor data, and do minimal processing to make a beautiful, natural and film-like shot. It’s very quick (up to 20 times faster than ProRAW) it is saved along with a 12 megapixel native RAW file. You can choose it at any time by tapping the “RAW” / “HEIC” format picker icon in the Halide interface, or you can read more and select a process in the Capture settings.
After taking a few shots, using it is simple: on your iPhone, any app you open your photos in will use the Process Zero image, and any editor that supports RAW will open the RAW data for further editing. Easy!
After many releases focusing on the latest and greatest iPhones, we are proud to say that we’ve worked hard to customize and optimize Process Zero for all iPhones we support. Those that do not have ProRAW on their iPhones will benefit from better processing on their RAW shots right away, as well as the Image Lab.
Process Zero is not made for low light photography, as it will get noisy and can get color cast. It has no HDR or AI to tweak its detail or dynamic range. Use this if you want to shoot entirely without Apple’s processing — a bit like an older digital camera, for natural looking shots.
IMAGE LAB
When we shot with Process Zero, we found we often didn’t want to edit the results much, but we did want to tweak exposure at times. Since all Process Zero shots contain the original RAW data, we decided to add our first editing feature: the Image Lab.
In the reveiwer, tap the small +/- icon to open the Image Lab. Adjusting exposure here will re-process the raw data with Process Zero, letting you often recover lost detail in shadows or highlights. Saving it will keep your RAW intact and save a new Process Zero shot.

É bom, mas tinha maiores expectativas.
O aplicativo em linhas gerais cumpre o que promete, entretanto, não é perfeito. No iPhone XR o modo retrato em objetos não funciona em 100% das vezes, criando fotos que possui falhas que não ocorrem em retratos de pessoas no App Câmera nativo é que incomodam, a ponto de não parecer de fato uma DSLR. O preço praticado no Brasil pelo App é alto pros padrões do país, o que diminui ainda mais a satisfação pelo app, pois pelo preço acabamos esperando que funcione melhor. Além disto, quando a foto é tirada é necessário ativar o recurso no Fotos para que você veja o efeito, além dele não mostrar em tempo real se a profundidade está sendo aplicada ou não. Há diversos pontos em que o aplicativo ainda precisa melhorar, incluindo suporte à língua portuguesa, espero que o aplicativo melhore com o tempo, torço para isso.
Não funcionou Iphone XR
Cadastrei o cartão apenas para comprar o Halide, baseado na informação que ele permitiria retratos de objetos e animais no Iphone XR.
Estou extremamente decepcionado, pois além de não funcionar para isso, chegou o app chegou a travar e deixar a tela escura...

I have one suggestion: Make the shutter button 3D Touch enabled, so at half press you focus and at full pressure you capture it.

Design lindo, ferramentas incríveis e atualizações ótimas. O melhor aplicativo de câmera. Eu tenho uma sugestão: Tornar o botão de captura sensível a pressão, na metade da força a imagem é focada e na pressão máxima a foto é capturado. Minha melhor compra :)
