HyperDither gives your photos the textured, stippled look of early desktop publishing and multimedia. Whether black-and-white, grayscale, or color, HyperDither delivers rich, velvety pixels you won't find in Photoshop. HISTORY: In the early 1980s, Bill Atkinson—creator of HyperCard, QuickDraw, and MacPaint—developed a brilliant technique for displaying tonal images on the original Macintosh's 1-bit screen. That algorithm became legendary among designers and classic Mac users, yet it remained buried in Apple's scanner software for years. In 2003, Bill personally shared the original algorithm with Tinrocket founder John Balestrieri, who implemented it in HyperDither and published the details so other developers could implement it.
