Playback depends on the original media format and the capabilities of your streaming device. Not every receiver supports every format.
HOW TO CAST TO YOUR TV
1. Connect your phone and TV or streaming device to the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Open Castify’s built-in browser and visit a website, or select a video stored on your device.
3. Let Castify detect supported web videos.
4. Choose your Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV, Fire TV, or compatible receiver.
5. Play your media on the big screen.
You can also play supported web videos on your phone.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Castify sends the original media stream directly to your streaming device. It does not host, modify, convert, or transcode videos. Video quality depends on the source, your network connection, and your receiver.
Castify is not a screen mirroring app. It casts supported media directly to your TV rather than duplicating your phone’s entire screen.
Castify works best with Roku, Chromecast, and Google Cast devices. Other DLNA-compatible receivers may offer limited features depending on the manufacturer.
Only websites that provide supported media formats can be cast. Videos using proprietary playback technologies or unsupported formats cannot be streamed. Finding a video in the browser does not guarantee that your receiver can play it.
CONNECTION & PLAYBACK TIPS
If your TV does not appear or a video will not play, check for:
• A weak Wi-Fi signal
• Your phone and TV being on different Wi-Fi networks
