Pitchmaster is an ad-free, highly accurate musical instrument tuner and tone generator. Built by a musician for himself and his friends, Pitchmaster does the job for reeds, brass, and strings. The reference pitch can be adjusted up or down from A=440 hz and an input sensitivity control allows tuning in both quiet and noisy environments. The tuner also features a frequency response display that gives a visual indication of tone, especially useful for instrumentalists seeking consistency across the range of their instruments.

What's New in Pitchmaster 2026.4
- Interval practice: choose an interval (minor 2nd to octave) and a direction, then match the note that far above or below the drone. In Just Intonation, intervals are tuned as pure ratios over the drone.
- Redesigned Drone Game: each note keeps playing until you hold it in tune for your chosen Match Time. There's no score; skip a note whenever you like. Live Sharp/Flat hints show which way to adjust, and a scrolling timeline shows your recent pitch.
- Set the drone by playing: tap SET and play a note, and the drone locks onto it.
- Transposition: see note names for Bb, Eb, F and A instruments.
- Wide layouts: two-column layouts on iPhone Duo (open) and iPad in landscape, plus a more compact layout on phones in landscape.
