I tried their paid plan and it’s terrible. Slow speed, strange connections and my Instagram music library stopped working. I turned back to free version with normal speed. And question: why in paid plan you automatically connect me to the country I’m currently in??!!But anyway, thanks for the great free vpn

Connection speeds can be influenced by numerous factors such as your native ISP speed, location, server load, network setup, etc. You could try some of the tips at https://protonvpn.com/support/increase-vpn-speeds to improve your connection speeds. However, if the issue persists, contact us using the 'Report an issue' option in the app menu so we can investigate further.Regarding your question, note that the default auto-connect option is designed to connect you to the fastest available server for you, which is often one that's closer to your actual location. If you'd like to connect to a server outside of your country, you can do so manually.
No connection whatsoever

I’m very disappointed with this app. Advertised as fast and secure, it won’t connect automatically or manually by choosing a country. It’s been almost two month of connection failures now but my money were withdrawn successfully. I want to cancel my subscription but can’t do it either because the website won’t load. Maybe I’ll get the developers’ response here

Meanwhile, try changing the connection protocol to see if there's any improvement.On another note, if you're certain that you'd like to cancel your subscription, you can do so by logging into your Proton account at protonvpn.com, then navigate to the "Subscription" tab, scroll down to "Cancel subscription" and click "Continue". Then, confirm that you'd like to cancel your subscription and follow the appropriate steps. In case you're having trouble accessing our website, try switching to a different network, or use the Tor browser.

This is the worst vpn I’ve ever used. I have it installed on both my work and home devices - both paid subscription. And it doesn’t work neither on corporate nor home accounts. I don’t know what I and my company paid for. I have to use free vpn, no name - this is not an advertisement. And free vpn works better and more stable. Return my money, robbers:))
