Picture puzzle game for visual assessment and training — ideal for learners with low vision, CVI, or special educational needs. Flipping is an accessible picture-puzzle game designed for visual assessment and visual training, with a special focus on children and adults who have low vision, cerebral or cortical visual impairment (CVI), or other special educational needs. A picture is divided into a grid and one or more cells are flipped upside-down or mirrored. The player spots the "wrong" cell and taps it to flip it back, rebuilding the whole image. When every cell is restored, a fun animation celebrates the success. The game is built around three principles that make it useful both as a visual-skills workout and as an assessment tool: • LARGE, HIGH-CONTRAST IMAGES — Every picture fills the screen. Bold colours, clean outlines and clearly recognisable subjects (animals, vehicles, flowers, shapes and patterns) give low-vision users something obvious to look at and react to. There are no distracting backgrounds. • GRADED DIFFICULTY — Three levels let you match the task to the learner's current ability: – Level 1: a 2×2 grid with a single flipped cell (easiest). – Level 2: a 3×3 grid with two flipped cells. – Level 3: a 4×4 grid with three flipped cells. The simple progression makes Flipping useful for tracking visual discrimination skills over time. • FULL ACCESSIBILITY OPTIONS — Use touch, a single switch (auto-scan), or two switches. Turn sound on or off, adjust the volume, add a settle-time delay between puzzles so the learner can take in each completed picture, and set the auto-scan speed to suit the user. Nine activity categories are built in: Animals, Mix, Transport, Animals Full, Mix Full, Transport Full, Pattern, Colour and Shape. Each category has its own set of reward animations to celebrate success. Flipping also supports using your OWN pictures — tap the camera button to load family photos or any image from the device, so the activity can be personal and motivating. This makes it easy for teachers, therapists and parents to create material tailored to a specific learner. Flipping is landscape-only on both iPhone and iPad, so the picture fills the whole screen for maximum visual impact.
