How early is too early when you’re heading to the airport to catch a flight or pick up a loved one? You might not have the answer yet, but Flighty can get you close. Here’s how.

Update your iPhone to iOS 16.1 or later (or your iPad to iPadOS 17 or later), then go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode to set your password and turn on Live Activities.

Next, go to the Flighty app. Find and select your flight number in My Flights to start tracking. You can find detailed information such as take-off and landing times, boarding gate information, plane model and destination weather forecast.

The app will also send you instant flight status updates, which include your destination airport, gate closing time and information on whether your flight will be delayed.

If your friends or family want to keep an eye on your flight or come pick you up when you land, share your flight info by tapping the person icon in the app, then selecting Flighty Friends to invite your loved ones.

Live Activities can show app updates and alerts on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island to keep you in the know.
