7 Wonders 4+

I enjoy this board game and used to enjoy this app as a faithful reproduction that offered a slick way to play the game quickly...but the new (forced) update is terrible. Graphics look cheaper, the table set up is difficult to understand and all in all is just not fun to play anymore. Needs to go back or have another massive overhaul ASAP!

I liked this app and I was playing it regularly. But then came the 2nd edition and I knew that if I wanted to keep playing the app with the same version of 7 Wonders that I own (the 1st edition), then I couldn’t update the app again. I was OK with this... until today when suddenly the app won’t let me play the old version and tells me to go update it! Curse you, I don’t want the 2nd edition. I want to keep playing the same version that I own. I will not be buying the 2nd edition. I especially won’t now out of spite. If you’re reading this, just go play It’s a Wonderful World instead of 7 Wonders. It’s all my friends want to play now anyway. I did want to still play 7 Wonders sometimes but after they’ve taken the app away from me, frig them. Looks like 7 Wonders is disappearing from my life. This app was the last bit I had left that made me want to play it in person. No longer after this forced update to 2nd edition (which is different).

Everything about this app is great except for one thing: why does the game have to end when the game host leaves? It’s really annoying because there are so many sore losers who leave before the game is over just because they know they’re gonna lose. Please change this in the next update. Everyone else should still be able to play even when the host leaves. Either that, or, don’t allow everyone to see each other scores during the game so nobody will know preemptively if they’re gonna win or lose
