Backgammon Trainer & Analysis

Play Tavla, Learn the Cube

Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Try one free game and its coach report. Unlock unlimited play, coaching, Expert AI and all five variants with one lifetime purchase. No subscription. Backgammon Trainer helps backgammon players practise offline, understand their mistakes and verify their dice. Play one free single game of standard Backgammon and read its coaching report. Then unlock unlimited games and reports with the existing one-time Pro purchase. There is no subscription and the sample does not reset daily. Use the coach to review checker moves and doubling-cube decisions, compare your play with suggested alternatives, and track your progress. Every match publishes a dice commitment before play and reveals its secret afterward, so you can verify the rolls yourself. THE COACH Finish a match and review your estimated performance rating, checker-play errors and cube decisions. The report highlights your biggest mistakes with the roll, your move, a suggested alternative and an explanation of the estimated equity difference. Cube advice accounts for the match score using the Kazaross-XG2 match equity table. Coaching is an on-device estimate, not a claim of championship strength. TRY ONCE, UNLOCK FOR LIFE The free sample includes one complete single game of standard Backgammon and its coach report. Choose the Beginner, Casual or Club opponent. The sample includes legal-move guidance, Undo before Confirm, optional opponent playback and dice verification. Your sample allowance does not renew. Pro unlocks unlimited games and coach reports, the Expert opponent, live tutor, cube explainer, full history, match export and all five variants. Existing Pro owners keep full access. One payment, no renewal and no additional unlock to buy later. FIVE WAYS TO PLAY WITH PRO Backgammon with the doubling cube, Crawford and Jacoby. Nackgammon for priming battles. Hypergammon with three checkers per side. Tavla without the cube and with mars counting double. Plakoto, where you pin checkers instead of hitting them. BUILT FOR REGULAR PLAY Legal moves follow the maximum-dice rule, forced higher die and oversized bear-off rules. Confirm your turn when ready and undo checker moves before confirming. Watch the opponent's dice and step through its moves, or let it play automatically. Place your home board on either side. Show point numbers and pip counts, or use larger checkers. Pro supports single games and matches up to 15 points. Export matches as plain text for desktop analysis tools. IN YOUR LANGUAGE Turkish, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Croatian, German, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and English. PRIVACY No account, analytics or tracking. Gameplay, coaching and dice verification run offline. Matches and preferences stay on your device. Purchases, restoration and user-opened support or legal links require an internet connection. PRO UNLOCK Pro is a one-time in-app purchase for your Apple Account. It is not a subscription, does not auto-renew and has nothing to cancel. Restore Purchases is available in Settings and on the paywall.
