Wow

I was very apprehensive that this was going to be an upgrade. Very pleasantly surprised so far. Major UI improvement, updates in real time.

Had some account issues being unable to receive a password reset email with the new app, but was able to change passwords using the old app. I echo other reviews, the lack of an ability to generate an unlock code at the dock is a major oversight. In a perfect world we wouldn’t need this, however so many damaged QR codes and numbers on e-bikes in the fleet which are unable to be read by the scanner.

No integration with other travel modes

I want this app to work with TTC/Presto and GreenP apps…I shouldn’t need to setup new accounts for every mode of transport in the city…ideally there should be discounts for using them in combination, especially if using the ttc and there is an outage…the parking lot and the bike share are in the same place and run by the same org - it’s weird I have to use two apps for the same company…

Improvement, but not great.

Most importantly, missing the code generation feature. Given how many QR codes and bike numbers are illegible this is super important.
GPS seems to lose my location frequently and I need to force close and re-open the app for it to work. Not being able to see dock availability and bike availability at the same time is kind of annoying. I know there’s a toggle but it feels clunky.

Not being able to buy a single ride or day pass for a friend seems like a major miss, the argument “have your friend make their own account” will be the reply but for a friend visiting town for a weekend isn’t going to download a new app and make an account, enter credit card details etc just for a ride or two. We just take the TTC instead.

I will be using the old app for now until some of these are addressed, even if it’s slower and crashes sometimes.
