Description
Cardiogram is a heart rate monitor and symptom tracker that helps you detect and manage chronic health conditions. See minute-by-minute heart rate information collected by your smartwatch, not just a summary. Set customized heart rate alerts for high and low readings. Use interactive, color-coded charts (with pinch-to-zoom) of your heart rate data, step counts, time-stamped symptoms, and medication.
Search your symptom history to make connections between your symptoms, triggers, medications, how you're feeling, and your heart rate information. Get weekly risk scores for hypertension, sleep apnea, and diabetes.
By connecting Apple Health, Cardiogram will pull in ECG and Blood Pressure readings to have a comprehensive report of your symptoms and readings to share with your doctor. You can also connect a family member to your account so they can see your data.
We take your privacy seriously. We use healthcare-grade encryption and we don't sell your data.

ECG AND BLOOD PRESSURE READINGS
Cardiogram receives ECG and blood pressure readings through the Apple Health app.
• If you take an ECG reading using your Apple watch, you can see the results directly within the Cardiogram app and it will be included with your doctor report.
• Using an Apple Health-compatible Bluetooth blood pressure cuff, readings will be imported into the Cardiogram app, connected to that day's data.
RISK REPORT CARDS FOR HYPERTENSION, SLEEP APNEA, AND DIABETES
• Track personalized risk scores to see how your health is changing over time and how different habits are affecting your risk.
• Scores are generated by our clinically validated AI algorithm using factors such as age, sex, height/weight, and metrics collected from your smart watch.
SLEEP TRACKING
• We retrieve sleep tracking data directly from the Apple Health, Fitbit, or Garmin Connect apps and show this information in the context of your heart rate.
APPLE WATCH COMPANION APP
• View your instant heart rate or view your daily heart rate chart on your wrist
• View your heart rate in real-time while working out
• View daily metrics like resting HR, peak HR, low HR, steps, and sleep BPM

Buggy
So very buggy on my iPhone SE.
Signing up with email just doesn't work. And there's no option to sign in with email. So you gotta use Facebook for some strange reason. The app itself has a good looking interface but the buttons barely work. It's like I'm using a prototype. The summary view is neat, I guess.
Developer Response ,
Hi App-Reviewer-Guy! I was going through our old reviews and just wanted to let you know that there is now an option for users to sign up using email. In any case, I hope Cardiogram is much less buggy now (if you're still using it!) - please don't hesitate to reach out to hello@cardiogr.am if there's anything I can help you out with. Thanks for being one of our early users! ^Linda
Can’t use without giving up you information
From my understanding and reading of the privacy policy, you can’t use anything unless you give up you data. For me daily heart data coupled with location and other personally identifiable information is too much to give up. Apple can keep your health data private on your devices so other companies should be able to do the same.

Hi CronusTheTitan! I was going through our older reviews and just wanted to check in and address some of the concerns you brought up. All of your data is securely stored on encrypted databases. We understand that users prioritize different things, but there are a few reasons saving data to databases allows us to best support our users' needs: 1) Compatibility with more than just Apple Watches - connections to Fitbit and Garmin wearables happen through their web interfaces. 2) If users ever switch phones, they can still access their data. 3) Analyzing trends and spotting abnormalities. Many users want proactive alerts or feedback on their heart rate patterns. 4) Comparing stats across user groups 5) Remote monitoring: allowing family members and loved ones to view your data with permission, regardless of what device they have. If you have any further questions or concerns about this, please let me know at hello@cardiogr.am and I'd be more than happy to answer them. ^Linda
Unreliable data
For no apparent reason, app will report bizarre heart rate (156 bpm) when resting or bounce between multiples (64 bpm-128 bpm) or record no activity at all, which it did today, halfway through an hour-long walk.
Since these data are used to establish benchmarks and averages, over time Cardiogram will affect the efficacy of other apps (Activity comes to mind).
Seemed like a good idea at the time and came recommended. Needs a rethink by the developer, in my opinion.
I had thought it might be my watch or phone, but other apps don’t exhibit these vagaries.
Developer Response ,
Hi oobe2u, I was going through our older reviews and noticed that you never got a response from our team. Sorry about that! In the event that you're still experiencing these issues (and using the app!), I'd really appreciate you letting me know so that we can fix this for you. We understand how important reliable data is for our users and hope you'll give us the chance to make things right. You can reach me at hello@cardiogr.am. Hope you're staying safe! ^Linda
