CaseOrbit is an on-device operations tool for physical luggage-rental counters. It helps staff manage journey intake, suitcase fitting, handoff verification, return inspection, and rental archives. KEY FEATURES • Create rental journeys Record the traveller, destination, departure and return dates, clothing days, shoe pairs, tech items, and route requirements. • Match the right suitcase Compare available cases using estimated capacity, cabin requirements, rough-route readiness, case category, and overlapping rental dates. • Manage physical assets Browse suitcase categories and review capacity, daily rental rates, deposit notes, included pieces, and printed asset tags. Operators can also add their own physical cases. • Verify handoff tags After recording the deposit agreement and counting accessories, scan a QR, Data Matrix, Aztec, or Code 128 tag to confirm the physical suitcase being handed out. Exact manual tag entry is available when scanning is not possible. • Inspect returned cases Verify that the same physical suitcase has returned, then record shell, zipper, wheel, and handle checks. • Record damage and service holds A damaged or exceptional return can be archived with a service hold. The suitcase remains unavailable for new journeys until the hold is explicitly released. • Keep a local event trace Assignments, handoffs, returns, inspections, exceptions, and closures are recorded in each rental’s event history. CaseOrbit does not process card payments, hold deposits, or provide remote inventory reservations. Rental records remain on the current device and can be deleted by the user.
