Should be taken off App Store
The developer is listed as Realmac, but they aren’t. When you click on Developer Website you are sent back to the App Store. Lots of problems with the product and no easy way to get my data out.
Buggy, now. Needs patching badly.
This app used to be great, but it has become nearly unusable and is in dire need of an update to address some serious bugs.
My main complaint now is that my list items often delete themselves instantly and right in front of my eyes when I edit them. I’ll tap “Done” on the keyboard or outside of the note to complete the edit, and the app will glitch and delete the item and scroll all the way to the bottom of my list, where all of my darkened, completed items are.
And no: I’m not accidentally swiping the items to delete or clear them at all.
Also, this happens only sometimes and at random. When it happens, I have to shake my phone to “undo” the deletion. Then I close the app and reopen it and pray it works properly for me. I wouldn’t usually be this patient with buggy software, but Clear can be such a useful app when it works properly.
The other issues mentioned by the other reviewers here are also problematic. I find that iCloud syncs for me fine across all my Mac devices, but it takes an age to do so. I often have to wait a minute or more for the app to pull the latest version of the lists from my iCloud account. Ugh.
So: please, PLEASE fix your app. I love Clear’s simplicity (and it’s colours!) and it would be great to be able to keep using it into the future.
No longer usable
I think I once gave Clear a five-star review, but that was when it would sync with my phone via iCloud. It no longer does, and the company’s “solutions” don’t work. This appears to be abandonware. And Apple’s own (free) Reminders app does exactly the same thing.
I miss the bright colors, though.
