Description
Click & Push’s Atlas is a mobile app that allows users to add information on barriers they face in their day through an app. They do this in a collaborative, peer-populated way, mapping the dynamic environs of a city and providing heads-up alternate route planning for persons with mobility limitations. The Atlas users can make note of barriers or inaccessible features in their paths, like potholes, lack of curb cuts, presence of construction hazards, elevator outages, and not functioning powered door buttons. This information is crowd-sourced and provided to The Atlas users so they can know before they go out for the day. Information contributors and users of the app can be members of the general public, seniors, caregivers, bicycle users, runners, and parents with young children in need of a stroller. Additional app features that C&P is validating include voice-activated barrier tracking and a more complex navigation capability, for ease of use by app users who are in motion.
