Thanks for using DNS Inspector! We've got a lot of new things to share with this update: • Based on user feedback, we've made some changes to new query view. These changes should help make things feel less cramped, and help users start making queries quickly. • We've added support for using your device's configured DNS resolver for queries. • We've added support for DNSSEC authentication of NXDOMAIN responses with NSEC and NSEC3 records. • Authority records are now displayed if they are included in the response. • We added an option to change if binary data is displayed as hex or as base64. • We fixed a crash resulting from creating a saved server without a name. • We fixed a crash resulting from deleting all saved servers. You must have at least one saved server, but it does not need to be from the servers included by default. • We fixed a bug where changing the app language had no effect. • We fixed a bug where the request duration incorrectly labelled milliseconds as microseconds.

Relatively quick update for you all today: • Partially restored HTTP/2 support for the DNS over HTTPS client. We're considering this a partial fix as it's mutually exclusive to using a bootstrap IP address. If no addresses are defined, then HTTP/2 support can be enabled, otherwise it will always use HTTP/1.1. Some DNS over HTTPS servers only support HTTP/2 so this fix should help restore that functionality which was broken in the last update. Thank you to the user who reported this issue! Thanks for using DNS Inspector! Lots of new things to share with you this update: • Added DNS over QUIC support - DoQ functions just like DNS over TLS, except using QUIC (UDP). We've also added a new preset DNS over QUIC server. • Added support for DNS LOC records. LOC records represent a GPS coordinate. • Added support for specifying multiple IP addresses for saved DNS servers. DNS Inspector will try to use all of these when sending a query. • Added support for specifying one or more bootstrap IP addresses of a DNS over HTTPS server. When using a DoH server with a domain-name URL, providing a bootstrap IP increases privacy by skipping an additional DNS query. • Added support for iOS and iPadOS 26's Liquid Glass UI. • Fixed a bug where DNS TXT records over >255B were not rendered correctly.

The response to the app has been incredibly positive and I'm very happy that so many of you are finding use in the app. This update includes features that weren't ready for the first release of the app, along with the first phase of DNSSEC support. A future update will expand on these new DNSSEC features with chain trust and signature validation. • Added basic domain ownership (WHOIS) information. When looking at a DNS response, a new menu is available in the top right where you can access a basic set of WHOIS information. • Added support for start of authority (SOA), delegation signer (DS), and DNS public key (DNSKEY) record types. • Added Spanish translation, courtesy of Kevin López Brante. • Fix DNS message parsing issue when compression is used.
