This game is really fun and I would love to play it more…. If there wasn’t such an insane pay wall. If there was a reasonable $5 unlimited messages subscription I would probably pay but the cheapest is $5 a month (if you bundle) for 300 messages which you can easily run through in under a week just isn’t reasonable at all. Or if the playing for free was more messages, earlier resets, and you could watch ads for messages are other ways to fix the paywall problem.

The monthly limit for free players is 60. You can send 60 messages PER MONTH which is insane. Mind you, the “DM” will force you to reply even if there is no reply. For example, one message I wrote “I bide my time” and the DM went into 3 paragraphs to explain this but then gave no follow up. So I had to respond “I still bide my time” which is an occurrence that happens often. Too often to be paying 0.20 per message. And you might think “oh at least the subscription makes it unlimited messages” WRONG. For $12 a month you get 300 messages which if you play the game for an hour, you can easily burn through. It’s unfortunate because this feels like the best DND game thus far but it’s so heavily paywalled that it actually disservices itself and its players. I implore the game makers to at least add in a “unlimited subscription” or give more opportunities for people to get messages through daily limits or an ad tier or ads/watching ads for messages. There is a huge market for this right now but with the high prices there is no reason for players to actually stick around when the trend fades and other apps come forward. Mind you this is AI. Which means it is not offering anything unique, it is offering a serve that is easily replicated. Again I implore the game makers to rethink this greed and give us players something to be loyal to.

As much as I have been loving this game I must say, not having an unlimited message option is a bit wild to me. It would make much more sense for it to be 7.99 a month for unlimited access and messaging in the game. I’m a level 3 dwarf and now unlikely to continue playing due to this ridiculous message limit. I am not paying for more messages.
