It is an isometric game, inspired by some of the best role-playing games from the past decades; it brings back the old spirit of the classics in many ways: a challenging environment, choices with consequences, and a solid game system, with different paths to develop your character.

Explore the world: no one will point you to the best hidden secrets. Talk to hundreds of different characters, each with unique dialogues, and solve dozens of quests. Customize your character with dozens of skills and hundreds of different items. Overcome all kind of monsters and antagonists, choosing carefully the weapons or powers for each encounter. And return to the classical dungeon crawl, with traps and secret doors, and death awaiting the unwary adventurer behind every corner.

STORY INTRODUCTION: A DARK TALE, AND A BRAVE NEW WORLD

A century ago, the Andorian Empire was destroyed by a magical cataclysm that brought The Horrors into our world; humanity was nearly annihilated. Many thousands managed to escape sailing away to the Imperial Colony of Varannar: a savage island, dangerous and unexplored. Mistrust and blame made impossible to elect a new Emperor, and the four Exiled Kingdoms were proclaimed.

Nowadays, the ragtag kingdoms still struggle to survive in a harsh land, often waging war on each other. Empire and the Horrors are, for many, just old legends and fairytales. You are a novice adventurer, rarely paying attention to such old stories; you're more concerned with your latest misadventures and lack of gold.

But for once, luck seems to be on your side. You received a letter from New Garand, stating that you are the sole beneficiary of a big inheritance. You don’t remember any relatives in the capital of the Kingdom of Varsilia, but certainly that won’t stop you from an opportunity like this! The road to New Garand will reveal many surprises, and will teach you that fairytales and legends can become, in fact, very real.

Incredible!!!

I have spent countless hours in this game. My first two playthrough I did as a warrior, followed by one as a mage, then a rouge. Currently I'm working on an Ironman run as a rouge without any companions, and it's still a challenging and unique experience. I have also done a playthrough on the mac version as a rouge, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who has access to a computer rather than an mobile device. The game allows you to really immerse yourself in parts of the story, allowing for several awnsers to most scenarios almost always providing different outcomes. Unlike games like fallout where you have the illusion of choice, this game allows you to make decisions of your own to a very fair extent. Almost all of abilities feel unique, and many of them have a very rewarding progression leading from a niche ability, to a devastating power when used properly. This makes grinding for levels and completing quests worthwhile both for the story, as well as for skill progression. The NPCs in the game feel diverse, real, and well thought out as to add to the story. There are serious characters that are menacing, evil characters with fragile egos, devout people who are mislead, noble people who have been tricked, honourable people who are compassionate, just to name a few. Many characters have a reasonable progression of story, allowing for fair character growth for a side character, and your responses to one NPC may decide how an entire guild or town treats you later on. My favourite part about the user interaction is that your actions have consequences! You can never lose because of your decisions, but you may lock off important parts of the game or certain endings if your not exploring enough or choosing certain dialogue. With all of this praise comes a few critiques. First, the IOS version crashes a lot. This really dosnt matter too much due to auto saves, except for when it tends to happen which is usually when entering or exiting an area. This can cause tremendous setbacks especially when going through a longer area, especially on Ironman when you can't quick save to help avoid this issue. Second, some things are too obscure, specifically regarding skill checks. I know its a very important part of RPGs to have skill checks, and it really does help make a personalized experience. But it's almost impossible to get the good ending without being a mage, or having complete knowledge of what you need beforehand. On this same issue is the endings, they are wayyyyyy too dependant on specific criteria without any explanation beforehand(that I've found, I could be wrong) on what your goal is when finishing the game, and again you are almost required to either be a mage, or follow a guide just to avoid the worst ending never mind getting the best. And lastly, the IOS version is so far behind! I'm not going to pretend I know how difficult it is to develop and update a game, but it would be really nice if the final areas were added onto the mobile versions soon. Overall, this is an incredible game and really deserves to be more known. With great game mechanics and an engaging story, this is one of the best RPGs I've ever played. And this being an offline mobile game makes it super easy to pickup and play wherever you are. But having a computer version also makes it great to binge without having to stare at a small screen. There's a few issues I believe that still need to be workout out especially on the mobile version, but really nothing is game breaking, only being a bit disappointing or frustrating at times.
