Description
Garmin® BaseCamp® provides an interface for viewing Garmin map products and managing geographic data. With BaseCamp, you can perform the following tasks:

Difficult at Best - Disappointing
Using v4.6.6 - 21 Apr 16 - Quite difficult to use in trip planning mode. Slow to register inputs. Time consuming. Crashed twice on me in one hour. With so many using Mac products now, Garmin needs to put more resources into this. Furthermore, I could not find a planning app for iPad.
If I had it over, I’d buy Tom Tom or take a look at Magellan.
Unusable
The new 64 bit version is slow as a snail (i7 with 16 Gb of RAM), buggy. I can only use it 10 minutes at a time (then I cry and quit).
Most problematic app I have used in the last 25 years.
This App, when it works, is very useful. However there seems to a constant barrage of bugs as to why it won't work smoothly. I am computer literate, very familiar with all the computer lingo and procedures, and have used a MAC for the last 10 years. I have curerent versions of Big Sur and current versions of the iMac, but none of this seems to help. I have a range of Garmin products including the GPS map66st. Trying to get Base Camp to recognize it can be a half hour ordeal most times! Why? Fix the App Garmin!
