HexGomoku is a unique strategic board game played on a hexagonal grid. Two players compete by moving their pieces across the board, trying to align them for victory while managing the innovative Qi (liberty) system. Features: - Hexagonal board with elegant design - Player vs Player and Player vs AI modes - Unique Qi liberty mechanic - pieces need breathing room - Red barrier pieces that must stay connected - Configurable board size (3-6) - Built-in game timer - Undo and reset functionality - Beautiful dark theme with premium aesthetics How to Play: Each turn consists of two moves: first move your own piece, then move a red barrier piece. Your piece needs at least two connected empty neighbors (Qi) to move. The first player to align their pieces in the required pattern wins!

Phenomenal game, could have some QOL (Quality of Life) changes though…

Casual Game Tester “峰”
(I wrote a previous lengthy review but it cut off and didn’t save when I swapped to bug test the game so I will keep it short this time around)It’s great for two players however some issues include:(Optional ones, maybe after the pivotal bug fixes):- Sound effects when you place a piece as well as a expanding fading hexagon effect to make pieces have more impact (or a noise (not too loud) but signifies the passing of a turn)- More variants (e.g. a blindfold mode where both you and your opponent can’t see any pieces, a stall mode where even after you make three in a row you still have to place a red piece (win priority is negated until after the entire turn))- There could be a play button with a countdown to start as when the application is open, black’s timer will tick which causes an unfair advantage in a game based on time and critical thinking.- An Online mode could be added for long distance games between players (through the use of servers or rooms created by a host), (very very optional as this is the early stage of the game at the moment) as well as a ranked system and player stats, as well as achievable titles or achievements in game that can save on your device.- A game history and review, where it saves a potentially downloadable (optional due to the stage of development at the moment) or non-downloadable (it just keeps an archive of games played on the app) versions of the last games you have played, could be under your player stats if added or on another button next to the rulebook/instructions UI.(Urgent bug fixing required)- The “Bot” should have a difficulty meter or bar that can be adjusted as it is not smart, and there are some openings or moves that completely break it (the “Bot” makes an illegal move and sort of freezes on itself making the player wait for the timer on the “Bot” to run out and lose) like: ⚫️ 🔴⚪️⚫️ ⚪️ 🔴⚪️ ⚫️- The starting position of any game with more than 3 pieces (in the “Pieces per Player” setting) is impossible for black to win due to no legal moves after the initial one (all red pieces are blocked in)- Not a big fix but an urgent issue as well, there should be a mode where the board follows the pieces or an infinite board that spans forever (or just no board but they’re all still hexagons), as it is a variant where it allows players more freedom to moveAside from that, I think it is a great game, if you play it with your friends (default settings) everything runs smoothly and there are no bugs or issues when playing a friend right next to you. It’s simple, but it’s a fun pass-time with no data usage or wifi required.
