At RNI we always wanted to transfer the true character of analogue film to digital medium. So we did by digitising our library of analog slides and negatives, building their profiles and packaging those profiles into a lightweight and easy to use mobile app.

REAL FILM FILTERS
The RNI Films' filters are born from real film stocks and split into categories that include negative, slide, instant, black & white and vintage. The app comes with a generous introductory package of free film filters. Also additional filter packages can be added via in-app purchase.
REAL FILM GRAIN
Authentic film grain powered by our custom engine—accurately simulating grain structure, colour, and resolution behaviour.
REAL FILM BLOOM & HALATION
Recreate the optical effects of real film. Bloom adds a soft glow to highlights, while halation produces a warm, subtle halo around bright areas. Both are modelled to behave naturally, just like in real film photography.
ADJUSTMENT TOOLS
Use RNI image adjustment tools to make sure your images perfectly meet your creative vision. You can crop and rotate, alter the brightness, contrast, and colour, enhance shadows and highlights, add vignette and real film grain, and much more.
RAW EDITOR
RNI Films can open and edit RAW files from your mobile or third-party camera*. Some minor image artefacts may be seen while editing RAW in the app's viewport which uses draft mode. Those artefacts won't be there on export. Generally, the quality of the output of this little app is comparable with professional desktop software.
* Your third-party camera RAW format needs to be supported by iOS. Please refer to your iOS version documentation for more details.
VIDEO GRADING (beta)
RNI Films can colour-grade your videos. All its film filters and many editing tools now support video. More video-focused tools and features will be added later. At the moment video grading is in beta. So if you spot any bugs or issues—please let us know at support@reallyniceimages.com

In order to get the "free" slide pack you have to tell a friend on FB. You can't even buy it, I offered to. I don't think Apple should allow this tied behaviour. As for RNI, all I got was a super-cheeky response. A company that pushes somebody to FB will be shown to be on the wrong side of history. Seems a nice product but avoid if your ethics are involved in the decision. BTW, I also bought their $82 desktop presets, they didn't give a rat's. They weren't prepared to lift a finger for somebody that wasn't going to be forced to join FB.

I’m thorn with this app- it’s such a great app yet the app it self hinders me from being productive. Amazing filters, lots of options but you can’t apply batch filters and you can only edit one picture at a time - which makes you waste so much time - improve the workflow and this will be an 5/5 app.

This app might have wonderfully accurate film presets but there is A LOT to be desired. Main things that are kinda dumbfounding and honestly annoying are:-there’s a “what’s new” pop up nearly every refresh…hit “got it” and hit “got it” every time after. Come on guys, fix this!-you can’t save edits (all that work to get a nice look and it’s gone as soon as you close the app OR what tends to happen constantly is the app refreshes on you so your edits are gone forever even in the middle of a workflow)-there’s no in app camera. Huh? This could be more of an all in one solution. It’s 2025, why is this not a thing?-you can’t organize your film presets by preference, instead you open the app and have to scroll thru a lot of films to get to the ones you want (I like portra’s but they live closer to the end of the list of films than the start which eats time and is just unnecessary and not workflow friendly)-the app refreshes randomly and more often than not, which reaaaallly sucks when you want to be editing/adding edits on the go. This apps workflow is really lacking and is very frustrating when you lose your edits in the middle of workflow. The solution is just edit all your pics at the end of the session but that’s not always very fun or productive…I make edits on the go to adjust on site.-splashing $40 for the whole app and all films is ridiculous when these BASIC oversights persist. This app has been around for awhile and it’s very confusing that nobody has decided to fix these elementary aspects to make this app WAY more user friendly. I like to shoot photos, I like nice seamless and effortless workflow, i like my time to be used well not wasted by silly pops and endlessly frustrating refreshes, I like apps to be sensible and have the experience of using the app to be smart and pleasant, not irritating, clumsy and feel like I’m fighting against the app every damn time I use it. Let’s tackle these issues guys, they should be relatively simple to fix, and if they aren’t, then you really need to rethink the cost of this app and the user experience.

Thanks for your feedback. However, most of the issues you mentioned—like constant refreshes, disappearing edits, and pop-ups reappearing—definitely shouldn’t be happening under normal conditions.
