This is a great game. Great for killing a few minutes at a time or a few hours. Seriously, hours will pass by quick while engrossed in this game. Now for the common complaints I see.1. Enemy tanks disappearing: This is just a game concept that they had to introduce. When tanks are out of your view range, you won’t see them unless they fire on you or a friendly spots them. After a few seconds, their camo is reset, making them invisible again until one of these two conditions are broken. If you don’t know about this, it will frustrate the heck out of you. If you know it and use it, you can get shot after shot without being exposed and often not getting a single shot fired at you. If you snipe from very far away at enemies spotted by friendlies, you may never get detected even when you fire on them if the distance is great enough.2. This game is NOT an accurate historical account of the tanks and I don’t believe the game developers ever make that claim. The tanks get updated and stats modified when they detect that certain tanks seem to have too much of advantage to ensure that all tanks have some strengths and weaknesses. Historically, Tigers dominated. But in a game, that would make everyone drive Tigers and it would get boring real fast. Instead, they opted to make all tanks comparable against each other on some level so that the games are more tight and fun. This is a game afterall. Post war or war period debate is a moot point here better saved for war discussion or historical tank enthusiast forums.3. Russian favored: Not true. It depends on your game style. May take a while to find and develop your style and different tanks require different styles. And that also changes as your tier level changes. What worked for a Tier V Russian won’t necessarily work for Tier VII Russian. Of course, that also goes for the different tank classes of Lights, Mediums, and Heavies. I have seen plenty of players with 60%+ and even a few with over 70% win rates. When you see their stats, you’ll see that they typically play across a wide range of tiers and tank types, meaning they can cater their playing style to suit the needs of different tanks. I myself initially started with German line (I think most do) and was around 48% win rate. Then started trying Russian and American and increased to just over 50%. Then I started getting into British line and back into German tanks and am now at 55.25% win rate. Does that mean the British tanks and German tanks are better? Or that Russians and Americans were better than the first few German tanks I tried? No. Most likely, my playing style improved along with refined ability to choose tanks that better suit me. So when you see people complaining that certain tanks lines are garbage, understand that they either don’t know the game and are frustrated or that they are historical buffs looking to vent their frustration of historical inaccuracies.Hope this helps.Happy tanking!
