I’ve been using Freedom for a few years now and recommend it to everyone who’ll listen to me ramble on about attention span and distractions and the general menace that is the technoligarchy. Truly, this is game-changing and it’s helped me rewire my brain for deep focus and concentration…you know, how it used to be before our brain chemistry got hijacked by software engineers 😎. Seriously though, it’s a force for good.

Not worth it anymore

Giving 2 stars (instead of one) as it used to be good up until Apple decided to make this app useless.1) Since Apple decided to forbid any app to be able to block other apps within iOS, the Freedom app became pretty much useless.2) It is also way too easy to circumvent the VPN by changing the settings for Safari, making the app again useless.3) For Desktop, I use Cold Turkey, a free app (to which I donated), it works wonders for all web browsers but does not work on mobile unfortunately.Conclusion: not worth it anymore as it doesn’t do the job due to Apple change in policy, not at worth it at half price, not at any price. Sorry (I’m Canadian)

Total garbage. The company tried to tell me it was because I have a Huaweii phone that the app wasn’t working. Guess what? I just bought an iPhone and it still doesn’t work - it’s not blocking any apps and I paid for the premium version. Biggest rip off ever. It would be nice if the company would return the money they stole for an app that does not work.

This app is overpriced and bad

I heard good things about this app so I signed up for premium. The features are limited. You can’t schedule for specific days. You have to add each site or app to your block list manually. You have to enable a VPN which sucks your battery life. And even after all that, the blocking only works about 50% of the time.The app sucks, I hope this company folds. I also want my money back.
New: Session Breaks! Take a 5 minute break during a session, without ending it early.
This update also includes notification improvements, bug fixes, performance improvements, and stability updates across sessions.
