Gear Browser is awesome for anyone who loves working with user scripts. In our use case, it helped us test scripts directly on device, letting you show demos without needing to actually deploy anything. It’s been a huge time-saver and helps catch issues early on. The only downside is the app’s icon—it’s a bit small and doesn’t quite meet iOS design standards. A more polished, iOS-friendly icon would make the app even better!

Absolutely amazed to find this browser. I was first looking for a browser that I could run “automatically mute and skip YouTube ads” user script from greasyfork but haven’t actually used that feature because the built in ad-blocking has removed all the ads in it’s default mobile mode. The script ability will come in handy for using it in desktop mode however (and relieves my creator conscience by automating my already existing mute and skip routine..) There is also the option of playing video in the “gear player” which makes YouTube work in a floating, resizable window that I can jump forward and back 15 seconds with and it slides away easily. It’s the only way I’ll consume much of my content now. The interface is a little bit different (but not difficult) to use but it is becoming my preferred way to use the web. Amazing, thank you.

This is just a good browser, really great UX design, has ad blocking, and good dark mode. Most importantly, it’s the only browser to run smoothly on my old iPad Mini 2 on iOS 12! (yes even better than safari)
