Focus Plant uses HealthKit to read mindfulness data from 3rd party apps including but not limited to Forest, Flora, Plantie, Flipd, Study Bunny, Quality Time, Liquid Text, Emphasis, Flat Tomato, Focus Keeper, Finch, Clickup, Study Buddy, Socratic, Study Blue, SleepTown, Calm, and Headspace. Make sure to grant all permissions when asked to authorize the Health App to make it work.

Not great for ADHD.

I'm interested in "gamified" focus apps because I have severe ADHD. Unfortunately, this app may be good for neurotypicals, but it's not ADHD-friendly. It's constantly buzzing my phone with notifications, demanding my attention and distracting me. It contains a ridiculous number of video ads, though you can get a paid subscription to skip them. Finally, the core concept is flawed, because I was able to plant more than 20 plants with only one short focus session. I spent way more time planting virtual plants than actually focusing. This is effectively a "reverse Pomodoro"... 20 min of focus and 40 min of game. Not ideal when you have ADHD, and get easily distracted.TL;DR: a gamified focus app that's more game than focus.

This is the focus app I’ve been looking for! It’s intuitive, engaging, and makes me want to use it every day by taking care of my plants. I like how they incorporate many features and have an abundant reward system which makes it satisfying to complete work/study sessions. Other focus apps were too boring and didn’t even have certain basic features I wanted. Highly recommend!

Used to be great, when did they add ads?

Used to use this app all the time. Decided to use it again to study for finals but every time I go to a new screen or finish a session it gives me an ad even when I opt out of double rewards? I used it for an hour and it managed to give me 6 ads. Very distracting when I’m just trying to use the app to collect cute plants and focus. I hate that I login with the intention of using the app, need to claim a daily award AND close an ad AND get an event pop up. It is very distracting when I just want to log on and use the actual focus feature. Next time, please remember who your app is for and what we’re using it for. We want to go offline, not be bombarded by check-in events, login challenges, and everything else. Too many features (WHAT are the gardeners for) it goes against the point of the app entirely.
