Exo-Clash has landed! In this update we have two new characters and a host of new activities. Play as Hera or Leo from Exo Clash, earn rewards in the new weekly course or cool off this summer with water balloon fights in Playground Level. * Beat the weekly course and earn a reward * Play as two new characters from the ExoClash universe * Throwable water balloons now available in Playground Level * Hit all the targets to earn a cool new accessory * Checkpoints added to Chase Your Sister courses * Switch between analog and digital controls via in-game options button (...) * Level up faster with increased XP gains across the board

ROCCO’S ARCADE IS FULLY OPEN! Hey Hot Lava fans, we found the keys to some hidden places in Rocco's Arcade and have opened them up for you to explore. We hope you have fun swinging through these new courses and trials! MORE ARCADE FUN! As seen in our last update, our Rocco’s Arcade Level is rollicking good retro-arcade fun. Well, good news, we added four - count ‘em four - new courses hidden in Roccos’ back rooms! Plus a plethora of new trials - jetpack, pogo and buddy. AND all new collectable cards just laying around for anyone to grab. You’ll have to explore all over this map to find it all! MORE CHALLENGES! With the new courses comes a host of new challenges to complete - tackle more than 30 new challenges in Rocco's Arcade and Level up! NIFTY NEW ITEMS We’ve also added a handful of collectable accessory sets to collect. Enjoy hopping around as a space ranger or a vr knight. Jump back in and check them out! AWESOME ARCADE UPDATE Greetings Hot Lava fans! As the weather heats up, so does your favorite game with a brand-spanking new update to warm your heart. BRAND! NEW! MAP! Hold onto your pizza slices, it’s a brand new Klei created map! Rocco’s Arcade is a hotbed of hopping set in a retro-arcade pizza place. Check out two new courses! Take on the pogo and tiny toy trials! Interact with gobs of retro-games like Flamly Ball, Zeet-ball and Thump-a-Raccoon! TWO NEW CHARACTERS Say hello to two new characters: T. Rex and Venomess - two rocking reptilian members of Mutant Mayhem! Select them on the character screen and level them up to unlock a cavalcade of new collectables! NEW ITEMS On top of all the awesome items you can get leveling up the characters, we also have a handful of bonus cool collectable sets of accessories. The more you play, the more you collect, so jump back in and check out all the new stuff. We have plenty of daily challenges and plenty of online opponents to race against. See you all there! WONDERFUL WINTER UPDATE Greetings, Hot Lava fans. The winter update you’ve been waiting for is here, and boy is it a good one! GAME CENTER MATCHMAKING Now you can find friends to compete against even if they’re not nearby. Using iOS/tvOS 15+ or macOS 12+, add friends using the Game Center pop-up and you’ll be able to run through levels with your best buds. Compete for the best time or, if you’re really feeling friendly, help them find a shortcut to the finish. MUTANT MAYHEM! Get ready for Mutant Mayhem! A whole new in-game toy universe set in a world that’s been transformed by an evil alien mutagen bomb. Rambull and Stinkbomb arrive in this update, complete with their own unique unlockable items, taunts and Action Files. Jump in and try them out! (psst - there will be more Mutant Mayhem arriving soon!) JETPACK TRIALS Keep your eyes peeled for an amazing new trial we’ve sprinkled into all of the main levels. Much like the Pogo and Tiny Toy trials, entering a Jetpack trial will launch you into whole new gameplay where you zoom through a unique new area with a high-powered jet engine strapped to your back. NEW MENU You may notice we now have a snazzy new menu to make it easier to navigate the game. Rest assured there will be more of this to come in future updates. GAT SKINS AND MORE! We’ve also thrown in some free new Night Fight camouflage skins for all your favorite G.A.T. characters. Additionally, the ever-helpful Sue will now lead you from course to course in the level overworld so you’ll never get lost finding your way to the next challenge. AWESOME AUGUST UPDATE Hello Hot Lava fans! August is here and we’re bringing the heat for the final days of summer with a scorching new update! MARVELOUS NEW MAP A brand new, Klei-curated Community Map ‘Journey’ is hitting Hot Lava! Travel through 6 different locations from City to Farm, Harbor to Forest, all with their own unique challenges. Explore these all new Levels and pick up some new items along the way. NEW ITEMS AND ITEM RECYCLING We’ve also added a lot of new challenges to every Klei Curated Map so it’s easier than ever to earn some new items. In addition, we’ve added a whole new way to get items with an option to ‘recycle’ your doubles, or the ones you don’t want, to earn tickets you can put toward getting new items. DAILY CHALLENGES New ‘Daily Challenges’ give you even more reason to come back to Hot Lava every day. Complete the challenges for some fantastic daily rewards! MORE UPDATES We’ve also added native support for Apple Silicon and Siri Remote (2nd Generation), optimized alternative control schemes, made improvements to the Intro Level, and tweaked tons of little things to shrink Hot Lava’s install size. *NEW! T.O.X.I.C. Team-up* A brand new update brings two brand new members to the T.O.X.I.C. roster: Poizone’s robotic army, the Infected Infantry! And Lord Sludge’s molten magma monster form, the Megamortabeast! *NEW! Vault Jump Ability* Along with these hot new characters comes one cool new move, the Vault Jump! Give yourself an extra boost to reach those platforms that are just a *little* too far away. And if you’re bummed you can’t test out this new move with your favorite characters...well we’ve got some news for you! *NEW! Choice* We’ve decoupled abilities from their characters so you can now use any character you want with any ability: Sue Nami with Double Jump; Poizone with Boost; Hazard with Slide Jump - go ahead and mix it up! You also might notice some slick new UI in the game designed to make your lava jumping experience all the more pleasant. *NEW! Items* Every character’s progression levels have been bumped up to 60 possible levels. So get in there and jump around to unlock some new stickers, action files, emotes, and new skins. As an added bonus we’re also giving everyone free Sea Stealth G.A.T. skins for this Spring update, just because we love you all so much. If you can’t get enough of all things G.A.T., there are all new G.A.T. lore descriptions for Head, Back, and Trinket accessories. Read through them all to learn about the exploits of all your favorite characters. *NEW! Controls* We’ve added support for Apple’s Game Controller remapping system so you can make any button any other button... anywhere! For those who like to keep their device close, we’ve added a toggle to the pause menu to switch between touch and gyro controls. Cooler weather means cooler features with Hot Lava’s new Winter Update! Along with the standard bug fixes and optimizations, we’ve added some sensational seasonal fun. WINTER UPDATE The first Jen Forcer’s Tactical Training Update delivers Snowstorm camo skins for each of the four G.A.T. characters. Check out the skins in the customize menu of your toy selection screen. If you look closely you may be able to see some seasonal decorations laying around to keep things festive in this frosty season. NEW WORLD Straight out of everyone’s favorite Hot Lava cartoon it’s G.A.T. HQ! Featuring three new courses, including the “MOUNT VILE GAUNTLET TRIAL!!!” Prove yourself worthy to take on Lord Sludge’s trail of terror complete with swinging axes, hidden spikes, and (of course) a room full of lava. Complete all the trials to unlock some exclusive items and collect all the cards to gain a whole new follower: Cyborca! NEW PROFILES We’ve added multiple save profiles to allow different users to save their individual progress. Three new profile slots for three unique users - or you could restart your progress if you want to experience the thrill of unlocking everything in Hot Lava again. NEW TRIALS For those seeking new challenges, we’ve also added ‘Chase’ trials in Playground and Wholesale and an all new grueling ‘All Course Marathon’ to Master Class. A super-huge update for all our super-great Hot Lava fans! Along with the traditional assortment of fixes and optimizations, we have some exciting big additions. NEW CHARACTERS Bring on the bad guys! The diabolical duo Lord Sludge and Poizone make their Hot Lava debut bringing with them a whole new heinous set of moves. With “Poizone’s Pounce” players can defy gravity with a powerful double jump while “Sludge’s Slime Surge” gives players a surf boost wherever they want. Plus watch Sludge and Poizone in action in a brand-new G.A.T. cartoon playing in the Basement world. TOY LEVEL UP Take your characters to the next level by collecting our glowing lava crystals: hit checkpoints, finish courses, and collect the new XP shards scattered throughout the game. Leveling up each character unlocks brand new items and features, including exciting new full-body Skins and lore-filled Action Files so you quiz your friends on G.A.T. trivia. Each character unlocks unique content so be sure to try them all! FIND YOUR FRIENDS We've added matchmaking support for Nearby Players so you can more easily join your friends on the same wifi network or within bluetooth range. Spring is here! What better way to celebrate a new season than with new ways to jump, boost, and surf: A new community-created map “Sunshine Shore”; a new Chase course in School; and a revitalizing energy drink to put some pep in your step. Take a leap and see what’s in bloom! SUNSHINE SHORE What says “spring” better than getting ready for summer? “Sunshine Shore” delivers six beach-themed courses in this new Klei-curated Community Map. Experience fun in the sun and some scorching hot sand that’ll toast your tootsies — so stay off the ground! Completing each course unlocks a unique beach-themed accessory. Collect all six! NEW COURSE By popular demand, we’ve added an all-new ‘Chase Your Sister’ course to replace the challenging ‘Chase the Grade’ course in School. This new course is more on par with the other ‘Chase’ courses in the game, so if you’ve been stuck trying to get past this level, give it another try. Those looking to score another A+ can still access their beloved ‘Chase the Grade’ as a trial in Mrs. DeAngelis’ art room. Complete it to unlock a new item. ENERGY DRINK For those speed demons who are looking to put an extra pep in their step we’ve added a new energy drink — “EdgyX” — so loaded with energy just holding it will give your character an extra boost. If you get thirsty in a course, you’ll have to back out to the overworld to refresh yourself: EdgyX cans can be found in all the overworlds. And of course we have our usual crop of bug fixes, performance improvements, and visual upgrades to make the game run better on your Mac. Additionally, we tuned challenge times to be more achievable.
