I have downloaded the app, it has a good look and feel, I would really purchase a subscription, but it is way too expensive. It is a database filled by users, using the old and new app. With the quantity of people using this app, a cheaper price will still make you rich. Please consider this, or offer discount.

Thousands of free upgrades have been given to our top contributors, and we hope to continue this program to give free upgrades to our top contributors every year. iOverlander 1 is not perfect but useful when travelling on various types of adventures. This new version doesn’t offer much more in terms of information but requires paying 129$ per year to access what is freely available on the old app. Utterly pointless, utterly useless, utterly ridiculous. Sad to see that profit took over the mission of each and every user who added information to the platform. Shameful.

They took a great free app, to find user submitted random camping spots and hide the data behind a paywall.

Hi, thanks for the time to write. We tried for more than 10 years to run our app just out of donations, but sadly, this didn't work. Our Legacy App is pretty broken and we are not able to maintain it any longer. Our new app has an OPTIONAL paid subscription and is completely usable in the free version. On top of that, we gave away thousands of free upgrades to our top contributors and installed a rewards program, too.

I downloaded the upgrade to see what is available in the free version with ads. Apparently it’s nothing. I understand that I can get more with a paid subscription but why offer a free version when it gives no information whatsoever?I am an active user of the legacy version and contribute often so I recognize the value of the app but I’d like to see what I’m getting if I’m going to pay the price asked. So far, with filters for informal and wild camping, the map is empty. Did I miss something.
