Hi there! I’ve been using this app for three years now and it’s been amazing even without the pro drinks. Today I went to open it and there’s no way to get to the drinks because a “continue” button for subscription is the only thing stopping me. I don’t want to subscribe but it won’t let me exit out of the big pop up to access my favourite drinks. Please remove it!

willows8970, We still always have our free 3 day trial! When we started this app 3 years ago, it was a labor of love in our spare time, as we are fellow Starbucks fans and love trying something new every time we go to Starbucks. We now have hundreds of thousands of users every month. As such, keeping the app free is no longer feasible as we have significant costs from our hosting and content delivery providers, as well as our support staff, collaborators, and content creators. We appreciate your support and will do our best to provide our app, it’s new weekly content and overall user experience at the lowest cost possible. We work together with baristas who create unique trendy drinks, especially for our app and our users. Unlike many free apps, our app is ad-free, which allows for a more seamless and enjoyable user experience. We do appreciate your feedback and take it into consideration.

Immediately after opening the app you are greeted with a subscription purchase page. Why not simply make the app paid upfront rather than trying to hide it behind a “free” app? Paying $9 a week for an app and still having ads is insanity. Another issue I have noticed is the majority of these recipes are not possible due to Starbucks product being discontinued. As a small example I’ve seen at least 4 drinks on the front page that have raspberry and toffee nut. Both items are discontinued in Canada.

If it was clear, I would’ve not installed it from the beginning. I’m okay paying for apps but not being mislead by an ad and after downloading finding out that it’s not free.
