I understand they are just search engine but they recommending travel websites which are outright thugs. I paid $4000 to flight network and got a refund after 2 days. Now when I book with any other website or agent I get $500 premium for same flights. Had I not listened to Kayak I would have got better deal.

Hi, I used kayak to book my tickets for last December india trip. It was a around trip through Qatar airways and due to Covid protocols my return ticket was cancelled and Qatar issued refund as its Covid protocol. The refund went to the website for which the ticket was taken. I thought it was kayak but Qatar airways said it a website called flyfar. Kayak directed me to their and I took not the cheap but the kayak recommended ticket. It’s been 7 months since flyfar has not even responded and Qatar airways is saying refund is issued. I have been scammed for around $600 though kayak. Please don’t use the app/site to take ticket use and agent.
