The app name is changing from Crostix to Crostix Pro, while the companion app, with sample puzzles, will change from Crostix Free to Crostix, in accordance with Apple guidelines. Minor bug fixes.

Crostix has been completely rewritten for modern iPhones and iPads.

Three new books! Crostix Books 12 and 13, and a second book of Larry Katzman's Gaglines puzzles. Updated for iOS 10. Unfortunately, that also means you will need at least iOS 8 to run this new version. Our apologies to those using older devices. But most importantly, we hope that this new version fixes the evil and long-standing bug which caused the app to be stuck in "Waiting for Data" mode for new books. Let us know if you still have problems with this; fixing it is our number one priority.

New puzzles: Books Ten and Eleven by Sharon (along with some special puzzle books to bribe you to help spread the word), a book of puzzles by new author Joe Lex, and a book of puzzles in Spanish! The program has also been updated for the latest Apple devices.

Two new books, Crostix 8 and 9, with more of Sharon's puzzles. The library menu has also been improved to show your progress for each book. A few puzzle typo fixes.

Two new books! For regular mortals: GagLines, a book of acrostic puzzles where the quote is the caption of a cartoon. And for those seeking the ultimate challenge: Elementary, My Dear Watson, fiendishly hard themed acrostics taken from the Sherlock Holmes mysteries.

Facebook integration: Now you can Like individual puzzles, and post to your timeline when you complete a puzzle book. We have added a second puzzle book by Gordon Frakes. The app sports a new look for iOS 7.

New book of puzzles: The Golden Treasury of Poetry. Fixed a problem with an earlier puzzle.

A new book: HeadLines. The HeadLines puzzles are similar to regular acrostics, but instead of the author and title in the first column of the answers, your extra clue is that the quote is a fictional headline from a given year. How well can you remember your history?

Now available: Aerocrostics, for aviation buffs only! If you're not into aviation history, these new puzzles aren't for you. But if you think your knowledge of planes, their makers and their pilots is ready for the challenge, put it to the test! Also, fixed a bug which interfered with the on-screen keyboard on devices running iOS 4.1 or 4.2.

Most important: Added Book Six, with 25 new puzzles! Updated to higher-resolution graphics for the new iPad. In response to a customer request, the iPad on-screen keyboard is slightly smaller, leaving more room for the puzzle.

Fixed a bug which kept you from seeing new books as they were added; you should now see them as soon as you upgrade.

A new book has been added to the library: 25 puzzles by guest author Gordon Frakes, available for 99 cents. Minor improvement: The puzzle you are working on now stays highlighted when you return to the puzzle list, so you can remember which one you were doing.
