Paid $10 for full access to this app a few months ago, then the developer switched to a subscription model. Now I have to pay $10 again? Thanks for punishing your supporters... what a joke.
Developer Response
If you paid $10 a few months ago, then the app won't require a subscripiton until 18 months from your purchase date. I want to be upfront about why it happened: maintaining the app means ongoing costs I didn't have years ago: database updates, server hosting, and keeping up with each new iOS release. I've been supporting this app for every new magic set for 17 years. Paid-up-front sales weren't covering those costs anymore, so the choice was subscription or shutting it down. The core app you originally bought still works, and the subscription only gates the features that have ongoing costs behind them.
Really Great app for all MTG fans

Wow
Developer retroactively requiring paid subscription to access features I already paid for
JJEternal123
I bought the app several years ago with the promise of getting an updating card database when new sets came out. The developer has recently changed the app to a free download and is now requiring a paid subscription to access the updated database which I already paid for and was promised on the store page when I bought the app.
Developer Response
I'm sorry you feel this way. The core app you originally bought still works (and includes all cards up to early 2026 at this time), and the subscription only gates the features that have ongoing costs behind them. I appreciate you having supported the app early on, and I'm sorry this change has soured the experience.
Excellent
