Falling Fruit is a community-driven platform for sharing locations of edible plants and other sources of free food. You can discover what others have been harvesting in your area and contribute your own observations.
We aspire to provide the world's most comprehensive and open foraging and freegan map. Since our launch in 2013, we have been collecting locations from app users, as well as from hundreds of community, university, and municipal datasets. Today, the map hosts millions of locations in thousands of cities covering thousands of edible types (fruit trees, berries, nuts, herbs, vegetables, mushrooms, dumpsters, and more).
Our mobile app offers the same core functionality as our free website, with refinements and native interfaces designed specifically for phones. A small price for the app helps cover the project's costs, and all proceeds go to Falling Fruit, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Boulder, Colorado, USA.

I purchased the app and attempted to create an account. The app wants me to verify my email before it will let me log in, but it will not send the verification email. I am locked out.
Useful but location issues

Installed today. It works well to see your surroundings and add new trees. However finding your location has a real problem (ios 15.latest iphone 6s+) getting the error message «locating you » then «we lost your location gps and network signal may be weak try again » while location and cellular permissions are granted and i am downtown with coverage. and every time i start it i am in Boulder, CO. Please fix this. Otherwise i woud give an higher rating. Thanks to the volunteers

the app was working great last summer but it’s not working anymore. i put in my username and it won’t let me put my password in. the website is very confusing and i can’t find the info i need. why is the app not working and when can you fix it please?

Don’t bother, the free version works better. This app does not work AT ALL! Don’t waste your money!
