The food item list is very basic and doesn’t go in dept in giving information of basic item when cooked vs raw, such as carrots. It indicates low for raw carrots only, but nothing about cooked (boiled, roasted, etc) carrots. Also no explanation why some breads are low and some are high. Is sourdough bread better than regular bread, are organic flour better than ogm? Though some commercially and highly transformed bread brands are on the list and are consider low. Same rice - Ex simple 30gr of puffed/popped rice is orange/moderate, but 40gr of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies is low/green. Seem strange…
Hi there, thanks for the review. We do understand that the information on cooked versus uncooked foods is limited in our app currently. We are now in the process of reviewing our data to include this in an update soon. In order to not overcomplicate the app, we do not include specific information on why FODMAP content can differ between similar products, however, the blog on our website contains some great articles that can explain this is better detail.
