I get that if you agree to pay for the app you are already in a different financial bracket than some people. But matching a $100+ restaurant to a $ (cheapest option) restaurant selection is laughable. Who are you people who think that’s the cheapest price?

That does sound off, especially when your preference is set to the lowest budget. We aim to align restaurant selection as closely as possible with those choices, though availability and city-specific options can sometimes affect the final match. That said, we’re actively refining how budget preferences are applied to make them more consistent and transparent. Appreciate you calling this out.
Paying to Pay to Meet Strangers

Was really jazzed with the idea of this app until I went to sign up and it turns out it’s a subscription model? Apparently this never used to be the case but they’ve shifted to “encourage connections”. Sorry but if you’re paired up with new strangers each week, how does that possibly encourage connection? On top of all that, I’m paying for the app, only to pay at a restaurant to meet new people every single time?! The pricing model is out of whack and with no insight into how the system even works, why would I pay, let alone subscribe? I have no perceived value for the app given it’s locked behind a paywall.
