CalCs (short for "Calendar Complications") is a watchOS-only app that provides various complications related to the calendar.
--Important Notes--
The features built into the main body of this app are limited to listing events/reminders & displaying a monthly calendar.
All other features are provided through complications & the Smart Stack.
●If you download CalCs from the iPhone App Store, due to synchronization issues between the iPhone & Apple Watch, CalCs may not appear on the Apple Watch.
According to Apple's specifications, watchOS-only apps cannot be re-downloaded from the App Store app on the iPhone.
Therefore, please use the App Store app "on your Apple Watch" & follow the steps below to re-download it.
・Scroll to the bottom→"Account"→"Purchased"→"CalCs"→re-download
-------------------
Key Features
●Supports a variety of complications such as date display, events/reminders display, & monthly calendar display
・Date Display
Displays the current date in various formats.
・Event/Reminder Display
Displays events/reminders synced with your iPhone.
You can choose whether or not to include all-day events.
・Monthly Calendar Display
Displays the monthly calendar in various formats.
You can choose to start the week on Monday.
Supports holidays in some areas.
*Holiday data depends on external APIs & may be incomplete.
Only Modular Duo supporting models (Series 7+, not SE series) can show a month calendar using 2 large rectangles. Other models can show it in 1, with smaller font.
●In the main app, events/reminders, & the monthly calendar are displayed
Tapping the complication opens the app, where you can view the list of events/reminders synced with your iPhone, as well as the monthly calendar.
*Only incomplete reminders are displayed.
*The app currently does not have functionality to add, edit, or delete events/reminders, nor to mark reminders as complete.
●Minimal Setting Options
To avoid complicating settings on the small Apple Watch screen, the settings only allow you to select which calendar/reminder lists to display.
*Notes
・The corner complications, circular complications, & large rectangular complications are supported only on Apple Watch Series 4 & later, so CalCs is not guaranteed to work on Series 3 or earlier models.
・Due to the limitations of watchOS complication display updates, complications may not immediately reflect changes when the date changes or after events or reminders are added or edited on the iPhone.
・After placing a complication for the 1st time, it may take some time for it to actually appear.
・If the complication is not updating, try tapping the complication to open CalCs, as this may refresh the data.
・If the complication is not updated even after launching CalCs, the issue may be resolved by 1 of the following methods. Please try them.
1.Restart both your iPhone & Apple Watch.
2.Force restart CalCs
①With CalCs open, press & hold the side button.
②When the screen for emergency call & power off appears, press & hold the Digital Crown.
3.Reinstall CalCs
①Press the Digital Crown to display the app list.
②Press & hold CalCs, then tap the × button to delete it when it appears.
③Launch the App Store app on your Apple Watch.
④Scroll to the bottom→"Account"→"Purchased"→"CalCs"→Re-download.
・If the complication does not update after force quitting & restarting CalCs, try restarting both your iPhone & Apple Watch, as it may resolve the issue.
・If event information is not displayed on the app's main event/reminder list screen or in complications, it may be because full access to the calendar has not been granted.
The issue may be resolved by following the steps below to re-enable full access permission to the calendar. Please give it a try.
①Open the "Privacy & Security" section in the iPhone Settings app & tap "Calendars".
②Change CalCs' calendar access to "None", then select "Add Events Only".
③When you open CalCs, you will be prompted to grant full access, so tap "Allow Full Access".
Great app but would be nice if the aesthetics worked better in some watch faces
Giuaye
In analog faces that allow multi color (like wayfinder) and - it would be good if the bottom portion of the text was red like the stock calendar event rather than all white text. Also, for the smaller round complication, would be good if the “next event” did not include the event title. There’s no room for it so it just looks messy. Just have the time of the next event, not the title of it.

Dear Giuaye,(English is not my first language, so there may be mistakes or unclear expressions. Thank you for your understanding.)Thank you very much for your review.I'm very happy to hear your comment: “Great app.”I also appreciate your suggestions for improvement.First, regarding the color of events.I'm currently considering whether it’s possible to change the event color to match the calendar’s color, but there's a challenge: if the calendar color is set to black, the event text becomes completely unreadable.Fixing the event text color to red might be a good idea, but please allow me a bit more time to consider.Next, about the event name in the circular complication, some users prefer having the event name shown,I would like to leave the current one as is and add a new type that only displays the event time.If there is any misunderstanding, feel free to update your review,or contact me via the email address or X (formerly Twitter) below.Email: au11785@gmail.comX (formerly Twitter): @akihiro11785Reviews go through Apple’s review process, so it may take a few days to reach me.So contacting me via email or X allows for a quicker response.Thank you very much for your attention.[Added on 2025/04/28]I have corrected the email address and X account name that were incorrectly listed.I sincerely apologize.Thank you very much for your understanding.[Added on 2025/05/01]I recently released version 1.50, which includes a fix to change the event color according to the calendar color, and a new type that displays only the time without a title.I would appreciate it if you could take a look when you have time.
Amazing Developer
Warren and Victoria
If I could give the developer 10 stars I would. I loved the design of the full month calendar complication already, but I asked if he could add a simple complication displaying the date in ISO format. He worked with me collaboratively on the format, and released it shortly after. I am blown away and so appreciative for his work

- See all edits! Finally a complication that allows me to display the entire month of my calendar on the modular face of my Apple Watch.*Edit:I have had this app for almost a year now and until a couple of days ago it worked fine. Yesterday, I had to remove the CalCs access to my calendar and grant it again for the app to show on my Apple Watch, because it was just a bunch of grey lines. Today, the date show the day before and I still haven't found a way to refresh the app since I tried opening it and changing it, but nothing worked. I am very disappointed. Please fix it, because I love this app!**Edit 2: I found a way to refresh the app, I must go in my Settings and change the app access to my Calendars. But I have to do this EVERYDAY! Otherwise the date won't be updated. It is really annoying, even more so because until a few days ago, the app was working just fine. I suspect the last app update messed things up.***Edit 3: The developer contacted me and we tried multiple things to make it work again and it does now thanks to Usui! Great customer support! I recommend this app.

D-Day all event not showing
Johndersar
Hello, why at the time of the day, all day event is not showing anymore?
Developer Response
Dear Johndersar,(Please note that English is not my native language, so there may be mistakes or unclear expressions. I appreciate your understanding.)Thank you very much for your review.I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.I would like to ask you a few clarifying questions:・What exactly do you mean by “D-Day” in the title? I’m sorry for asking, I just want to make sure I understand correctly.・Where exactly in the app is this issue occurring? (The main app? A complication?)・If it’s happening in a complication, could you let me know which one?・Regarding “at the time of the day,” could you clarify what specific time you are referring to?If possible, please update your review or contact me directly via the email or X (formerly Twitter) account below:Email: au11785@gmail.comX (formerly Twitter): @akihiro11785Please note that if you reply via the App Store review, it may take a few days to reach me due to Apple's review process. If you contact me via email or X, I’ll be able to respond more quickly.Thank you for your time and understanding.
・Fixed an issue where, in Night Mode on Ultra series models, the current date text in monthly calendar complications blended into the background circle and became invisible.
・Added a type of corner complication that displays the current date (month, day, and weekday) on the first line and the ongoing or next event on the second line.
