There is no great way for organizing your collection anymore. The only real sorting function is alphabetical order, but it doesn’t even sort them correctly in that fashion. The filter for read vs unread doesn’t work right. There is no way to download your books so can’t read them unless you are connected to the internet. The new app has a shiny coat of paint over the UI, but underneath it is just bad. This is worse than the transition of Comixology to the Amazon Kindle Reader app. I hope they fix this soon.

Positives : the app design look nice and we can finally buy from app directly.Negatives: - uses of coins for purchases in app only with diminishing returns on investment when buying coins packs (the more you buy the more expensive each coin gets) predatory -> should keep it as it always as in $ (tho it was better when it was in ¥).- massive mistakes with the shop, can't filter with prices, can't go see deals or free or coin back.- I hate that I can't see which books I have already bought when navigating the shop, showing price to all of them (confuses me and makes me scared to accidentally purchase again.)- the option to auto-buy, I know it's a option but when spending money it should always ask for double check with consumer. - can't download in app: i was most looking forward to the new app because the old one was slow to download books, but the new one just doesn't allow us to. Also I was looking forward for the epub license thingy promised to allow us to download our ebooks outside BookWalker to truly own them but I haven't figured out how it works. As a casual fan of BookWalker for 6 years now (who prefers buying physical so it's telling that I trust BookWalker) with 200+ books purchased, I believe that all my points will (hopefully) be dealt with in the future but I'm disappointed it wasn't from the get go.

Absolutely Not Ready for Use

For something intended to replace the global app, this one does a terrible job of things. The sorting system is so broken that I have a hard time finding the books I’m looking for, the search bar is entirely unhelpful, and the sorting by last purchase option completely reverses itself as soon as you try applying any filters to your library view.Considering how much the UI changes between apps, too, I’d expect a small tutorial or guide or something as to how things work in the new app such as table of contents or skimming ahead to catch up to where I was in a book on the old app because the reading progress didn’t translate in the migration. There’s no way to organize your library in a way that you might prefer, volumes of a series might appear out of order in an A-Z sort, and some of the titles are missing their cover art. I can’t even look specifically for books that I haven’t read yet or group books by series to reduce visual clutter. All I can guess is that whoever designed this new app never looked at what made the old one work for readers and certainly never considered how a reader might want to use this new app. I really hope that improvements are made soon, but until then I’m sticking with the global app for as long as I can.

Could be better

I like you can buy stuff on the app now but that is probably the only good thing. Sorting was terrible, it’s a bit better now. I liked the bookshelf thing the old app had. No more wish list is also very annoying. It also doesn’t save you at the last page you read but at the start of the chapter you are on. You have to skim to find the page you were on. Prices are predatory. A lot bad. It runs better and looks modern but the down sides are a lot.
