Or are you just trying to find that one Bolognese recipe you love and make every year, but can *never* remember which book it’s in? Quickly find recipes across your cookbooks that use what you already have – no more forgotten vegetables wilting in your crisper drawer. Simply search by ingredient, dish type, or whatever you're craving, and CookShelf shows exactly which cookbook has what you need and what page it's on.

I really love this concept. And it’s a great looking app. Super intuitive. The cost though…woof. I would pay a flat fee, but this cost ongoing, it’s a bit much. Hopefully this will change in the future!
Bait and switch

Deleted it as soon as I opened it. Why not be honest and upfront and list that it costs $50/ year to basically index recipe TITLES? So let’s be clear, not the actual recipe, you still need to pull out your recipe book. And for that an annual sub costs the equivalent of a hardcover recipe book. I can see paying a few dollars once to purchase it, but an ongoing sub? Ridiculous
Sneaky

Asks for a bunch of info then hits you with the subscription fee. I can’t stand how everything is on a subscription model now, instead of letting you just buy it once and use it forever (I don’t mind paying for updates when I’m ready to upgrade but don’t want to pay monthly forever). And to not be upfront about the cost until after getting a bunch of information out of the user doesn’t sit well with me.
Awful app

I wanted to love this and the premise is good however there are hardly any books indexed. I tried 10 different books and none of them were indexed. The majority of my library is “Taste of Home” cookbooks, and I didn’t find one that was in there. This should not have been released until more books were indexed. Very disappointing.
