The onboarding for this service is way too heavy, and you’re forced to complete everything before you can even see what the platform offers — which would be fine if the service actually worked in my region. After collecting a ton of personal information from me (DOB, phone, email, and more), they finally check my location only to tell me the service isn’t available. What does that mean — Canada? Quebec? If you don’t support these regions, why target them? And why gather all this data before confirming that I can even use the service?? That’s not how data privacy works!
$70 Sign-Up Bonus Never Paid & No Customer Support

I signed up for Spendsafe because of their advertised $70 sign-up bonus ($20 cash plus up to $50 in referral rewards). Unfortunately, the offer never arrived. After multiple attempts to follow up, I was completely ghosted across every platform I tried.I attempted to call their support line, but it appears to route to a generic overseas call centre where the agents didn't even seem to know what company I was referring to. There is no meaningful customer support structure in place, and getting a clear answer is nearly impossible.From what I can tell, everything operates as a white-label solution backed by People's Trust Company / People's Group behind the scenes. The front-facing brand feels extremely thin.Looking at their presence on Linkedin, it appears to be run by just a couple of individuals, and they’ve been largely silent for months aside from running ads on Instagram promoting this sign-up offer.The lack of transparency is concerning. The terms and conditions for the promotion were either broken or missing when I tried to review them. If something goes wrong - for example, getting locked out of your account - I have very little confidence you'll be able to reach anyone for real help.Overall, this has been a frustrating experience. I would strongly suggest choosing an established bank or reputable fintech instead. Based on my experience, this company is not worth the risk.
