As a Canadian-born Sikh raised in a Sikh family, I knew the basics of Sikhi but was always curious to learn more. Sometimes it felt intimidating to ask elders or a granthi questions out of fear of being judged. The Simran app gave me a safe, comfortable space to explore my faith in depth and at my own pace. It truly helped me strengthen my understanding and connection to Sikhi.
Developer Response
This truly moved us, thank you for sharing it 🙏 A safe, judgment-free space to explore Sikhi at your own pace is exactly what we hoped Simran could be. We're so grateful it's helping you grow closer to your faith. 💙
Waste of time

There’s no point in advertising this app as free when you can’t access anything beyond the first screen without paying $39.99 per year. The entire app is locked behind a paywall. This feels misleading and disappointing.Very ashamed at the owner/designer!
Developer Response
We're sorry it felt misleading, and thank you for telling us honestly. We never mean to disappoint anyone. The membership is what lets us build Simran properly and pay the artists and developers behind it a fair wage, rather than filling it with ads or selling your data. There's a 7-day free trial so you can experience it fully, a cheaper plan, and a full refund if it isn't for you. 🙏

nah man, this shouldn't be chargeable
Developer Response
We hear you, and thank you for being honest. 🙏 The membership is what lets us build Simran slowly and properly and pay the artists and developers behind it, instead of running ads or selling your data. Please try the 7-day free trial, there's a cheaper plan too, and a full refund if it's not for you.

Thank you 🙏 Waheguru. We're so grateful you're enjoying the daily Hukamnama from Darbar Sahib and the meanings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It means the world that Simran is part of your day. 💙
A calmer, fresh Simran. Today's Hukamnama now sits at the top of Home, and you can swipe through Gurbani one line at a time. Daily Simran is guided, with a breath pace and new recordings to follow. Also new: a jaap mala, the full Nanakshahi calendar with gurpurab reminders, saving any line, bani or answer, and asking Simran by voice.
