Maru helps you track which of your monthly autopay charges have actually hit your account, so you can confidently move the leftover cash to savings without leaving the bills short. Tick off bills as your bank charges them. Log variable spends like groceries with a tap. See what's still pending and what's safe to move. That's it. No bank login, no AI categorisation you have to clean up, no tracking, no subscriptions. Built around two simple ideas: a friendly mascot named Maru who keeps score, and a single number — "still pending this month" — that always reflects the truth of your bank balance. Features • Track bills across two payment methods (debit + credit card by default, more configurable) • Mark bills paid with a swipe; variable bills accept actual amounts as you spend • Quick-add from the home screen, the widget, or “Hey Siri, log expense in Maru” • Home Screen + Lock Screen widgets so the pending number is always glanceable • Configurable cycle start day if you budget around your salary date instead of the 1st • Swedish + English Privacy • No accounts. No login. No analytics. No ads. • Your data lives on your device and syncs through your private iCloud — between you and Apple, never us. • Open source mascot, closed source app — but auditable in the iOS sandbox. Made by Anthony Le, a solo developer in Eskilstuna, Sweden, because the spreadsheet wasn't cutting it.

Maru 1.1 — the statement update. • Home is now a monthly statement: income in, fixed costs, subscriptions, your card — and what's left after everything. • See the year (Pro): every month's in / out / left in one table. • Needs / Savings / Wants split, computed live from your income. • Add a bill name-first, and pick the charge day from a calendar grid (1–31). • New bills and logged spends show up on Home instantly. • Honest numbers: no more "0 kr ready to move" when income just hasn't been logged yet. • Bucket totals on the Bills tab, spent-so-far on account cards, and many small fixes.
