New Nook cards: see what every book club is reading, and find the clubs made for you. - The Nooks tab is now split in two, My Nooks and Discover, like the rest of Social. Create a Nook with the + beside them - New Nook cards: each club shows the books on its shelf, its current read first, with its members and when it was last active - In My Nooks, clubs with new messages come first, you see your own progress on each club's current read, and invitations wait at the top - Discover finds clubs for you, where your friends are or where the books you read, own or wish for are on the shelf, and each card tells you why - Recently created clubs get their own spot in Discover, so young clubs are easy to find, and empty, silent clubs no longer crowd the list - A club's moderators can mark a channel as its "Current read". That book leads the club's card - A Creative club's card wears the club's own theme and banner - Sharing a Nook, or opening its public page, now shows the club's books - Also new: My places, in your Library's menu, shows where each book is shelved, and you can sort your Library by "Where it's shelved" - New kind of challenge (beta): "Books that match a criterion". Choose books from Québec, a genre, or both, like "15 books from Québec this year" - Look back at your bracket for past years. A past year's bracket now stays just as you left it - In Stats → Calendar, switch to "Finished books" to see what you finished each day, with your count for the month and the year - Other readers now show in their own colours in search, friend requests, followers and suggestions, and in a group challenge or a Nook, each member's progress bar is in their colour - Bookneko uses less mobile data: saving a book no longer downloads your whole library again - Fixes: a book no longer shows twice in your reading calendar when you log a past read right after starting it, a book's page no longer offers to add a book you already own, and a list pinned to your profile now fills its whole tile Happy reading!

Talk with your challenge buddies right in the challenge, and see your friends in their own colours. - New: every group challenge has its own discussion. Talk with the other members right on the challenge, and see on each challenge card how many comments are waiting - New friend cards: each friend appears in their own theme and banner, with the books they're reading right now and the books you have in common - Inviting friends to a challenge? The friends who are reading, own, want or have read its books come first - New on Breather: a reading calendar block with the covers of the books you finished each day and your trophies. Add it from Customize Home - Your best streak now shows its dates in Stats - Premium: the Query Builder draws charts, groups by month or by length, starts from ready-made views, and compares two sets side by side, like this year against last year - The fleur-de-lis now marks books from Québec on every cover: your library, shelves, search, challenges, stats and more - Books with no cover art get a cloth-bound cover with their title, instead of a blank - When an action takes a moment, a slim bar tells you it's on its way - Blocking someone now hides them everywhere: posts, comments, lists, challenges and friends - Paige's page now says she can answer your "how do I…" questions - Fixes: the reading calendar no longer files a book on the wrong day near midnight or when you travel, and more Happy reading!

A quality update built from your requests: a faster feed, links that work everywhere, easier reading logs, and a fleur-de-lis on books from Québec. - Books from Québec now carry a small fleur-de-lis on their cover in posts, and a "Québec" mark on their page - Links in posts, comments, reviews and messages are clickable everywhere, a post shows a preview of its first link, and Bookneko links open right in the app - Share an article from the Board, and links to articles, Nooks and profiles now show a proper preview in Messenger and other apps - Share your challenge progress to the feed from the challenge's share button, and see your count ("43 of 50") on a challenge pinned to your board - Log your progress with a decimal, like 44.6 %, while reading or for a past session - Adding a book you read long ago? Turn on "I don't remember the date": it won't count in this month's stats, your streak or your challenges - Audiobook times are easier to enter: hours, minutes and seconds are labelled, and the app double-checks a time that looks off - Marking a book Finished from "Did you read today?" now takes you to your review, like everywhere else - For You shows the last two weeks and tells you when you're caught up, and each feed tab keeps your place - The feed and Activities load faster, and your library stays available offline longer - Messages keep your line breaks and paragraphs - Stats show book types and tags in your language - Premium: the Query Builder can filter, group and sort by publisher - Empty challenge stamps look cleaner, and on a computer, ended challenges are marked and completed ones show as completed - List cards and the image you share from a list use the list owner's own covers - In Friends, the search box finds your friends first, with "Search everyone on Bookneko" one tap away - Need help with an import? Ask us right from Import / Export - Fixes: an audiobook with no length of its own no longer marks itself finished too early, books approved from readers' submissions now appear in search, and the profile editor's preview no longer sticks to the top on small screens Happy reading!

A new library: a view for every shelf, collections that keep books out of the way, and lists you can share and sort into groups. - Your library's title now switches views: My Library, Everything, To-read pile (in your pile's own order), Lent, Borrowed (returned ones included), No longer mine, ARCs, and each of your collections - New on your copy: ARC / review copy, size (pocket, trade, oversized), "Not mine anymore" for a book you sold or gave away (your reading stays in your history), and a private note of where it's shelved - Hidden collections: keep books out of My Library and your Wishlist (kids' books, old reads), and choose whether they count in your stats and challenges - Collections can fill themselves with the borrows you gave back or the books you no longer have - Collections have a new look, with their own banner and avatar, and open like your library, with the same tabs - New sorts by publication date and by tag, and new filters: books finished in a given year, ARCs, no longer mine, size - My tags: every tag you use in one place. Rename them, merge duplicates, hide one everywhere, and go back to a book's original tags anytime - Make a list together: invite friends to add, remove and reorder its books - Sort your lists into groups, rearrange them, and add a book to a list right from its page - On a list, see your own status for each book, who added it, and the cover from its owner's copy - Lists, Collections and your Wishlist get a header you can customize like your library's, with three new effects: Lamplight, Light shafts and Stardust - Text on a banner photo is easier to read - In Nooks, announcements are now posts in the feed: they can hold books and photos, use @ and #, and take comments and reactions. Moderators can pin them or close responses, and a filter shows only the announcements - Dragging to rearrange your board, a list's books or your notes no longer refreshes the page - Books you add to a list keep their place in its order, and lists show each book's series - Removing a book from a list now asks about that book, not the whole list - When a Nook is deleted, its posts go with it Happy reading!

Help is now built into the app, your library shows which filters are on, and you can change your email address yourself. - New: help in the app. Tap "How do I…?" in Settings, or open Paige's help, and search simple step-by-step guides. "Take me there" opens the right screen - Your library shows each active filter as a label. Tap one to remove it, or "Show all" to see every book again - Reading sessions: change a session's time, not just its date - Change your email address in Settings - Bars, polls and charts are easy to see on every theme, including dark ones - Book bracket: undo a win, replay the matches, reset your bracket, or put a month back to its suggestion. A win now stays with the book that won it - Challenges show every book that counts, not just the first 100 - Covers fill their spot in polls, rating posts and the book bracket - New accounts start private, and you choose when to open up - News emails come only if you turn them on in Settings - We updated our Privacy Policy and Terms Happy reading!

Crown your book of the year, and share without worrying about your connection. - New: your book bracket. Each month's best-rated book enters a bracket, or pick your own top 8 or a podium. Play the matches, crown your book of the year, and share it as a card. Show it as a pyramid, or as two halves meeting in the middle. Find it in Stats - Shared cards and wrap-ups now finish publishing even if the connection drops or you leave the app, and a small banner shows their progress - Tagging a book with # suggests your own books first, right away, and takes full titles like "Red Rising" - Searching your library finds a book from any words of its title, author or series, in any order and ignoring accents, and no longer shows another volume of a series as a twin of the one you're looking for - In Nook channels, messages and comments, what you send always scrolls into view, even if you had scrolled up to read - Polls on a Nook's board grow to show every option - Monthly wrap-ups count more accurately: a book finished twice counts in the month you last finished it, two editions of the same book count as one book, and a book marked finished several times on one day counts once - Wrap-up story cards always fit the screen - In the share studio, switching a card between story, post and square re-arranges it to fit the new shape - On iPhone, adding books to a list from a very large library no longer restarts the app - On a computer, Back returns you to where you were in your Library and Wishlist - Creative bought in the app is recognized right away Happy reading!

This update is all about fixes. - Back takes you straight to where you were after you save a book or a list, instead of needing two or three taps - After adding a book, Back returns to where you found it, not to your Library - A deleted list, or a Nook you left, no longer comes back when you press Back - Nook channel discussions open on the latest message and stay there when the keyboard opens or pictures load, and they no longer pull you down while you read older messages - Messages with only pictures no longer start invisible and jump into place - The Social dot no longer stays lit for Nook messages you're already reading - Shared cards and monthly wrap-ups no longer publish as a broken, see-through card, and publishing no longer spins forever - On iPhone, the + button for a custom colour now opens the colour picker - Newer emoji show in colour instead of empty boxes, and a name that starts with an emoji gets a proper initial - On a computer, notifications and new badges show up live, without reloading the page - Searching for readers and Nooks ignores accents and apostrophes: "cloe" finds Cloé, and a reader who changed their name is found by the new one - The book picker finds series and ISBNs, and a space at the end no longer hides every result - Imports: accents in files saved from Excel on Windows come through, files that were wrongly refused now import, the date you added each book is kept, big libraries no longer time out on a slow connection, and a refused file tells you why - A second copy of a book now starts fresh, so your first read keeps counting in your stats and challenges - A book you add as already read, with its dates, shows up everywhere right away - A challenge's badge now shows in Curios instead of "Badge not found", and a badge added to a group challenge after its goal was met now reaches everyone who took part - In the French app, dates and badge names show in French, and notifications arrive in your app's language - No more sideways sliding in the profile editor, a tall header no longer covers the page on small phones, and tour tips always stay on screen Happy reading!

Booknook is now Bookneko. Same app, same library, same friends: only the name changes. Your account, books, Nooks and everything you've written stay exactly as they were. Also new: - Time left: see about how long you have left in the book you're reading, based on your own timed sessions - A truer reading pace: pages you had already read before tracking a book no longer count as read in one sitting - Change the return date of a book you lent or borrowed, and your friend's copy follows - Edit profile now shows your real header while you edit it, and your banner has its own row - Finding readers is quicker: the closest names come first, in search and in @mentions - Monthly wrap-up: cards keep the format you chose, covers you add yourself appear in the post, and you're told before publishing if a picture didn't load - Covers now show wherever one exists (challenges, lists, collections, your reading journal, messages, the feed), and a cover that fails to load tries again - One notification when someone reacts to many of your posts at once, instead of one per post Fixed: - Finishing a book with no page count now marks it as read - Covers no longer come out blank on cards shared from an iPhone or iPad - Preparing your monthly wrap-up picks up where it left off when you come back to the app Happy reading on Bookneko!

What's new in 2.7.2 • Notes with photos, a GIF or your voice: up to 4 photos and a 5-minute voice recording per note. • Polls in your posts, with written or book options and an optional closing date. • Golden paws: give one to a profile board you love. • Spoilers in messages and Nook chats, hidden until tapped. • A warm welcome for new Nook members: wave hello from General. • Pin a challenge to your profile, or hide your progress in one. • Wear a badge beside your name. With Creative, wear two auras and add your own photo to share cards. • New library sorts: title, series, date finished and your rating. • Track audiobooks in hours, minutes and seconds. • Upgrading your plan no longer adds a second subscription. • Plus many fixes: fairer book scores, notes that keep their place, sharper videos and photos that load.

Challenges, rebuilt. • Five kinds of challenges: a number of books, a reading list, some books from a list, a series in order, or a number of pages • Genre challenges, with suggestions from your own shelves first • Create a challenge step by step, with your own banner • See your progress the way each challenge is played: stamps, shelf, path or gauge • Collective challenges: read together toward one shared total • A new Challenges tab in Social, with official challenges and your friends' • Share your progress in one tap Also fixed: ratings missing from achievements and shared images, more accurate reading stats, Google sign-in, and many smaller corrections.

Ratings that hold up, requests you can follow. • A super rating now shows as super while you set it — the tap no longer looks lost at 5.00 • Ratings brought in from a file no longer inflate an average. A page count that landed in a rating column counts as 5, and never mints a super star • Logging a session on a book you had already finished no longer erases its finish date • Books you asked us to add now appear under Report an issue, each with a plain answer about what happened to it • A shared book link opens for whoever you sent it to, signed in or not • French books find covers in the Québec catalogue when the English sources have none

Fixes, and a few small additions. • A shared invite or creator code now opens the offer — not your own dashboard, and not a login wall. Invite links also open when you're signed out with the app already installed. • Text shortened for a preview no longer cuts an emoji in half: message previews, notifications, reply quotes and shared links. • Reading pace and average time per book now count only the sessions you actually timed, and tell you how many they're based on. • Notes can be grouped into sections you name. Deleting a section keeps its notes and moves them back to General. • Pin a nook to your profile board. • Hide the tile on a header without losing your decoration or colour.

Halloween is here. Ten new looks for your reader profile — five rings that wrap your avatar (Drip, Cobweb, Horns, Fangs, Bats) and five auras that take over the page around you (Fog, Ghosts, Tombstones, Pumpkins, Spiders). The effects picker has been rebuilt so you can see each one moving before you pick it, and the rest of the collection sits alongside them — Falling leaves, Lantern, Glow, Rain and more. Also fixed: A Nook conversation you had just posted in could come back reading "no messages yet" when it had simply failed to load. It now tells you what happened and lets you reopen it Covers sometimes came out blank on a shared card. The capture now waits for every image to finish decoding before it draws A publication date that isn't a real date is caught while you type, instead of failing quietly later on Steadier Nooks, a smoother row of online readers, and refreshed policy pages Happy haunting — and happy reading.

Two things readers kept asking for, plus a lot that got steadier: Can't find a book? Add it yourself, in seconds. It's usable right away — sessions, progress, rating, notes, goals, quotes and shelves all work — and Booknook keeps checking the catalog on its own. If the book turns up later we link your copy automatically, keeping everything you'd already written New notification settings: one switch for this device, quiet hours overnight, and nine categories you turn on or off one at a time. Your bell still keeps every notification — these only decide what interrupts you 100 badges instead of 21, and not just counters: what you read now counts too — long books, other languages, older books, series, rereads, audiobooks — alongside how steadily you read Booknook Partners: if a creator you follow shares their code, you get 20–25% off Booknook Creative for a full year Invite a friend and you both get a free month — and a code you tapped before signing up is now remembered and applied once your account exists Challenge and goal progress moves as you log pages, instead of sitting at 0% until the moment you finish Reading sessions land on the right calendar day no matter which timezone you're in Long conversations stay where you left them — a new reaction no longer throws you to the bottom of the thread — and timestamps now separate conversations instead of being stamped on every message A short buzz the instant a long press catches, so the reaction tray responds before it draws More covers, loading faster, in more places Thanks for reading with Booknook — happy reading!

This one is all fixes — the parts you use every day, made dependable: - Book covers load reliably everywhere, including inside pickers and while you scroll fast — no more covers stuck shimmering forever - Your library now works offline: your shelf and its covers stay on screen without a connection, and an outage no longer tells you your own library is private - Videos are prepared on your phone before they upload, so posting a clip takes seconds instead of minutes - Videos start sharp instead of blurry, and only the clip you're looking at loads — lighter on data and on memory - Sound follows the post you're viewing, with a proper mute/unmute control - @mentions in comments, replies and messages now really link to the person and notify them — replies no longer post a name as plain text - The feed stops bringing back posts you've already read, while still filling up when there's little new - Fixed collection banners not showing on profile board pins - Announcement cards, the Board, News, Changelog and Roadmap all line up properly and look right on every screen size - Better cover artwork, and more French titles turn up in search Thanks for reading with Booknook — happy reading!

Explore is now the Booknook Board. Everything we publish, everything we're building, and new books to find — gathered in one place, and open to everyone. • Read the news, the roadmap and release notes without leaving the app • Comment on articles and events, reply to other readers, react with any emoji, and add a GIF • Get notified only when someone replies to you or reacts to your comment — never for the whole thread • Search has its own screen now, with a compact bar and its options one tap away • Discovery shelves show whose books they are, right on the cover • Articles are public pages you can share with anyone Plus a lot of smaller fixes across the Board, the article pages and the search screen.

Your reading month, on a card. MONTHLY WRAP-UP Every month you read now has its own set of cards — covers, your numbers, badges earned, your book of the month, day by day. Pick the book, choose the indicators, edit any card in the Studio, then share them or post them to Booknook. SHARE STUDIO New card effects — hearts, dust, shimmer and custom patterns — plus stat, rating and badge stickers. With Creative, effects animate and export as a GIF. YOUR SHELVES Mark favourites (with a foil finish on Creative), filter by Favourites, Signed or Deluxe, and search your library by title. BOOKS AND READERS Book pages now show what other readers thought, and which editions they're using. Ratings can be kept private. Audiobooks track position and time listened. Goals can be corrected book by book. SOCIAL The full reaction set on posts and activities, one photo per comment, and clearer private and friends-only profiles. ALSO Faster feed and library, quicker covers, images saved to a Booknook album, tags translated, and fixes for likes that undid themselves, replies stuck in the comment box, videos stuck on "processing", and sessions landing on the wrong day.

This one is all fixes. • Genres and formats now show in your app language instead of English • Books past your 1,000th responded to nothing in the book picker — fixed • The camera now tells you when it needs permission, instead of silently doing nothing • The Friends and Messages shortcuts open the right page again • Follower and following counts open the list they actually count • Nook polls: long book titles are no longer cut off, and empty result bars stay hidden until the first vote • You can now submit a book even when it has no ISBN — a librarian finds the right edition • Audio editions log a position and a listening time instead of page numbers Thanks for reading with Booknook — happy reading!

Your reading month, as a story you can share. MONTHLY WRAP-UP Every month you read, Booknook now turns it into a set of cards you can swipe through: the covers you finished, your month by the numbers, your book of the month, and a day-by-day view of when you actually read. MAKE THE CARDS YOURS Edit any card in the Studio — move things around, choose which indicators appear, pick your own book of the month. Your changes are saved as a draft and stay put. SHARE THE WHOLE MONTH AT ONCE Export every card to your photo gallery in one tap, or post them straight to your Booknook feed with a word about the month. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • Images in a post now have a real Save button — no more holding down the picture and hoping. • Fixed the bug where a like would quietly undo itself a second later. Reactions retry on a bad connection and tell you when they truly failed. • Visiting someone who reads in private now explains what's shared and what isn't, instead of showing an empty page. • Books in common: a new "Also shared" tab, and counts that match what you can actually see. • A cleaner reading calendar, a Queries tab in your stats, and a clear explanation when an edition has no page count to track progress against. • The reading-status button behaves the same everywhere, and tapping a book on someone else's shelf now takes you to the right place. • The Subscription tab lists what your plan actually includes.

SHARE STUDIO — design what you share Every share card in Booknook is now a canvas you can actually edit. Pick a book, a list, a collection, a reading goal, a book haul, a book you just finished, your book club or your whole reader profile — then make the card yours: • Move, resize, rotate and lock anything on the canvas • Add text, stickers, photos, book covers, your rating or your progress • Colours, backgrounds, gradients, dots and grids, five new frames, layouts, confetti and sparkles • Export as a Story, a Square or a Post • Reset puts the card back exactly the way it arrived When you're happy with it: post it to your feed, download the image, send it through the share sheet, or copy a link. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • Lists that count — a shared list keeps its real order, fits up to 36 books, and carries the same number or paw stickers you use in the list itself. • Book clubs worth an invitation — a Nook card is now a proper invite with your club's crest, and a public Nook has a real page anyone can open, no Booknook account needed. • Your reader card — your profile as a card: your banner, your avatar, your aura, a few true stats and a rail of covers. • Private books stay your call — posting about a book you've marked private asks first, and reveals it in that one post only. Your book stays private everywhere else. • Photos you can look at properly — pinch, double-tap and drag to zoom up to 6× in posts and messages. • Messages that actually send — photos are resized before they're sent, so a full-size phone photo goes through, and a failed send finally tells you why. • Polls about anything — Nook polls aren't only for books any more: vote on a theme, a date, or "none of these", with no duplicate options. • Better book lookups — an ISBN finds more editions, French titles included, and two different books no longer land on the same record. FIXES AND POLISH • Half stars now render as half stars on shared cards • Finishing a book celebrates even if you skip writing the review • Share Studio works on a desktop screen • A book you submit reaches our librarians reliably — a rejected one no longer sits at "under review" forever

Audiobooks now count in time. Set a book's length in hours and minutes, log your position as a timestamp, and see time elapsed or time left. Any book can be counted in pages or in time — your call. A calmer social side: • Messages have their own home — search every conversation and filter to unread • The bell is now an inbox — notifications and messages side by side • Two tabs instead of four, one card per reader, and a Following / Discover switch on the feed • See who's reading right now, and meet readers who read what you read • Privacy in plain words — Public, Friends only or Private — plus follow requests you can accept or decline Nooks you can arrange. Reorder and collapse channels, let members add their own poll options, rename discussions, and create a whole run of chapter channels in one go. Also in this release: push notifications now work properly on iPhone and iPad, French books get their series right, Paige runs on our strongest model with a new panel listing everything she can do, and plans are clearer — Creative and Premium side by side, with a 30-day free trial on Premium.

Imports fixed: Other files now come in with their ISBNs, page counts and tags intact. Many more French books show up in search — always with a cover. No page count on your edition? Set the length yourself in the reading pane, in pages or in minutes for audiobooks, and log progress as a page or a percentage. Listening time no longer inflates your pages-read totals. Clearer buy links, and no more empty session cards in your feed.

Moving in from another app? Version 2.2 makes it effortless. Import your library from Bookmory, Goodreads, StoryGraph, or Babelio and we'll add your books for you — matching them in the background while you keep reading, and letting you know the moment it's done. When we're not sure about a book, you get a quick one-tap review instead of a mess to clean up. We've also made signing in friendlier with a 6-digit email code, added per-channel progress sharing in your Nooks, and polished the experience on tablets and the big screen.
