Closing a deal photo is easier. The X button now sits on its own background, so it stays visible over white product images. More real product photos in place of cropped flyer tiles, across Walmart, No Frills, Loblaws and other grocers. More stores to browse, including Princess Auto, Rona and Home Hardware. Prices now show in the currency the store actually charges. Fixes and performance improvements.

Browse the full flyer. Open any deal and swipe left or right to move between pages, and pinch to zoom in on a tile. Bigger product photos in the deal rows, so you can see what you are buying at a glance. More real product photos across No Frills and other grocers, replacing cropped flyer images. Fixes and performance improvements.

Better search, and clearer distances. Searching now leads with what you actually asked for. Ask for chocolate milk and you get chocolate milk, not plain milk. Ask for hot dogs and you get hot dogs. A great deal just outside your radius is no longer hidden. It shows up with the distance on the card, so you can decide whether it is worth the trip. My List looks a little wider than your map does, because a shopping list is worth a short detour. Each store shows how far away it is. Plus faster, fresher flyers and a long list of smaller fixes.

Discover now leads with what you actually buy week to week, instead of whatever carries the deepest discount. Groceries come first, and things people buy once every few years stay out of the way unless you go looking for them. New: Buy It Again, a row of things you have bought before that are on sale now. New: a line on your list items telling you whether today's price beats what you paid last time. Also in this version: the same product no longer turns up in several carousels at once, and the privacy policy has been updated to describe the purchase history these two features use.

Deals stay correct when you move. Changing your area now reloads the right catalogue instead of filtering the old one, and your list keeps its prices. More stores. Adonis and Super C join the lineup, and Giant Tiger is back in every region it publishes. Flyers from more grocers. No Frills, Loblaws, Fortinos and Superstore print flyers are read directly, so their weekly deals show up with real prices and product photos. Better photos. Cut-outs that were unreadable crops or blocks of colour are no longer shown. Honest price badges. ALL-TIME LOW now appears only when an item has genuinely been cheaper than it usually goes on sale for. Faster nearby stores and faster search.

• Per-pound pricing shown where the flyer prints it ("per lb", "per 100 g") instead of "each" • Deal badges and savings totals only count regular prices the flyer actually quoted • One location prompt, asked after you've seen your deals — not four • Fixes now reach you faster between App Store releases
