P-Way Horizontal Design Calcs is a mobile App calculator for UK Permanent Way engineers designing horizontal alignments.
Built around the standard UK formulas (equilibrium cant, cant deficiency, rates of change, transition length), it gives you the numbers you need on your phone, on site, or in a meeting: equilibrium cant, applied cant, deficiency, desire cant, cant gradient, rates of change. Three curve modes include single, compound and reverse curves.
Formulas match the 11.8 × V² / R convention used in UK practice. Cant inputs snap to the 5 mm convention.
