DICTATE INTO ANY APP
Add the Verbatim keyboard and dictate straight into Mail, Messages, Notes, Slack or your browser. Tap the microphone, speak, tap the checkmark, and the text appears where your cursor is. Prefer the app? Hold the microphone to talk, or double-tap for hands-free. When you stop, the text is already on your clipboard.
ACCURATE, AND IT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Verbatim runs a large, high-accuracy speech model on the device itself. It works offline, on a plane or in a basement, and your audio is never uploaded. Record for up to 20 minutes at a time, long enough for notes, memos and walk-and-talk drafts.
WRITES IT THE WAY YOU WOULD
Formal style tidies "wanna" into "want to" and drops the ums and uhs. Literal keeps exactly what you said. Say "new line" or "new paragraph", count off "one… two… three…" for a numbered list, or say "bullet point".
YOUR WORDS
Speech recognition gets names wrong. Add the ones it keeps missing (a surname, a street, a supplier, the jargon of your trade) and Verbatim uses your spelling from then on. The list starts empty, because the words worth having are the ones specific to you.
YOUR PHRASES
Say something short, type something long. "My address" becomes your full address; "my sign-off" becomes your signature. Phrases match exactly and only as whole phrases, so one never fires by accident.
ONE PRESS TO START
Add the "Start Verbatim" shortcut to the Action Button, Back Tap, Control Centre or Siri, and Verbatim opens already recording.
A HISTORY THAT STAYS YOURS
Every dictation is kept on your device for as long as you choose: 7, 30 or 90 days, or forever. Nothing is lost if you paste over it.
ON A MAC
Verbatim also runs on Macs with Apple silicon. Click and hold the microphone to talk, or double-click for hands-free, then paste anywhere with Command-V. Words, phrases, history and the "Start Verbatim" shortcut work the same as on iPhone and iPad. The Verbatim keyboard is an iPhone and iPad feature. To dictate straight into any Mac app, get Verbatim for Mac, a free download from verbatim.ciav.ca.
NO ACCOUNT, NO SUBSCRIPTION, NO TRACKING
There is nothing to sign up for. Verbatim has no servers, collects no analytics and shows no ads. Pay once and it is yours.
