CHOOSE YOUR OWN SAFEST PLACE TO STORE PASSWORDS & PASSKEYS
Enpass believes your data belongs to you. Instead of keeping everyone’s passwords on a central server like most password managers, with Enpass YOU choose where your encrypted vaults are stored and synced.
● Enpass works with iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, Dropbox, NextCloud, WebDAV, or completely offline.
● And with support for storing and syncing passkeys across devices, Enpass is ready for the password-less future.
WHY ENPASS IS SAFER
● Most password managers store every user’s vaults in their own central server, making a tempting single target for hackers
But with Enpass, hackers would have to

- Know which cloud services you’ve chosen for your vaults
- Have the credentials to those cloud accounts
- Get past each account's multi-factor authentication
- And know your Enpass master password
● Enpass also includes password audit & breach monitoring — user-friendly tools to help keep you safe
WHY ENPASS IS BETTER
● Store and sync passkeys — ready for the password-less future
● Unlimited vaults — completely separate work passwords from personal, and more
● Wildly customizable — make your own templates, categories, and tags to organize your credentials and private files
● Share individual vaults — with a parter or project team; help manage passwords for kids or elderly relatives
● Customize each Item — add, remove, and rearrange fields, or make your own (even multi-line fields)
● Customizable browser extension — make auto-fill and auto-save work the way YOU like, and make your own keyboard shortcuts
● Customizable password generator — tweak up to 10 parameters when creating strong new passwords
● Attachments — include documents and images with your saved credentials
● Built-in authenticator (TOTP) — no need for a separate app to get those 6-digit codes
AND ENPASS IS AFFORDABLE
● Enpass Premium starts at just $1.99/mo, Enpass Family at $2.99/mo
● Enpass Business starts at $1.99/user/mo

I'd used 1Password for many years and I stopped using it when they switch to subscription mode. Since then I've used Enpass. It's getting better after each release. But compare to 1Password, there are 2 features I missed :. first and foremost, the possibility to store multiple vaults on the same directory and synchronize them using the same tools (iClouse, Dropbox etc.) This is a shame that I have to setup two synchronization channels : one for my main vault and anthor to share a second vault with my significant other.. There are still issue to fill form from entries created manually: ability to specify wich field of the entry goes into wich field in the web form.Hope this will be fixed so I can give 5 stars!

The functionality of Enpass is equal to that of 1Password 6, and thus is an excellent replacement now that 1Password is moving to a subscription model. Importing all my passwords into Enpass from 1Password was painless, and the browser extension works well in Arc and Safari.
Developer Response Really glad to hear you're enjoying it!!! 😊🤝🌏

If you are using the Enpass Free plan, you can now view premium features and purchase Enpass Premium plans directly from the Mac App Store. This means you can see the Website Breaches, Passkey Supported Items, and 2FA Supported Items sections within the app. Selecting these features will guide you to Enpass Premium plans, where you can complete your purchase using Apple In-App Purchase. Previously, these features and the option to upgrade were not available for Enpass Free users on the Mac App Store.
For Business users
• Vault sharing now supports Google Shared Drives with more than 100 members: The "Manage Access" screen for a vault in the Share Center now displays the complete list of members for any Google Workspace Shared Drive, regardless of the group size. Previously, the list was limited to the first 100 members, which prevented administrators from granting vault access to everyone in larger organizations.
This version also includes other minor bug fixes and improvements.
6.12.5 Jul 31
This update introduces a re-engineered Security Score to prioritize critical risks; it also optimizes Wi-Fi Sync connectivity and ensures a better experience when managing notes and icons.
Improvements
- A More Meaningful Security Score: You can now see a more accurate representation of your vault's health through an enhanced scoring engine. This means the dashboard now prioritizes critical issues, like compromised passwords, and rewards the use of phishing-resistant factors like Passkeys.
- Optimized Wi-Fi Sync discovery: The Wi-Fi Sync server now prioritizes active Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections while filtering out virtual network addresses from software like VirtualBox. This ensures your devices find and connect to each other reliably during synchronization.
Bug Fixes
- Unlimited Note length: The Notes field now supports more than 20,000 characters without truncating your data. Previously, saving an item with a very long note would silently remove content exceeding the character limit.
Consistent Note appearance
- The Notes field now uses a consistent background color across both light and dark themes. This replaces the bright yellow background that previously appeared in dark mode, ensuring the interface remains easy on the eyes.
- Stable Note scrolling: The Notes section now maintains its scroll position when a background sync occurs. Previously, the view would automatically jump to the bottom of the note whenever the app synchronized.
- Enpass Assistant shortcuts: Enpass Assistant now closes as expected when you press the Escape key on macOS.
- Improved custom icon quality: Custom icons now render clearly in the interface. Previously, some user-uploaded icons appeared pixelated even when provided at the correct 200x200 pixel resolution.
For Business Users
-Vault connection clarity: The vault settings page now displays the specific service name and icon for SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Google Shared Drives. Previously, these business-specific vaults were labeled generically, making it difficult to distinguish between different storage locations.
- Refined Google Workspace permissions: The Manage Access page for Google Workspace vaults now only displays members of the Shared Drive who also have explicit access to the vault folder. Previously, it could show users who had folder-level access but were not members of the shared drive.
This version also includes other minor bug fixes and improvements.
6.12.4 Jul 6
- Autofill while locked: The desktop app now serves cached autofill items metadata to the browser extension even when locked and requires to unlock Enpass when an item is selected for filling. Requires Enpass browser Extension v6.11.14
- Added support for Conditional Passkey Sign-in and Enrollment: The desktop app now supports the underlying passkey handling required for conditional passkey sign-in and password-to-passkey enrollment flows initiated from the browser extension.
- Passkey Management Links: Enpass now reads website-provided well-known passkey URLs to surface the right actions at the right time. When a site declares where users can enroll or manage their passkeys, Enpass shows the appropriate buttons directly in the app.
- Improved SharePoint vault sharing: Increased the supported member limit for shared SharePoint sites from 1,000 to 5,000 users, enabling vault sharing with larger groups.

We hope you're enjoying the new Enpass UI! Based on your feedback, we've fixed several issues in this release, and more fixes are on the way. If you're facing any issues, feel free to reach out to us at support@enpass.io.
This release brings smoother navigation and several reliability, display, and localization fixes.
• Notes field now stays expanded reliably- The Notes field now stays expanded as expected. Once you expand the Notes field for any item, it remains expanded across all items until you manually collapse it or restart the app. Previously, the Notes field could collapse unexpectedly.
• Notes text is now readable in Dark theme- Text entered in the Notes field now displays in the correct color when using the Dark theme. Previously, the text could appear in black on a dark background, making it hard to read.
• Security score now displays correctly on launch- The security score on the Home dashboard now shows the correct value as soon as the app launches. Previously, it could display an incorrect score until you navigated away and returned.
• Item editing options are now translated- Item editing options (such as Attachment, Section, and Add Field) now display in your chosen language. Previously, these options appeared in English even when using a different language like Portuguese.
• Keyboard shortcut now copies the right password- The keyboard shortcut for copying passwords in the Enpass Assistant now correctly copies the password of the item shown in search results. Previously, it could copy the password of a previously selected item instead.
• Importing from Sticky Password now preserves special characters correctly- Importing data from Sticky Password now correctly handles umlauts and other non-ASCII characters (such as ä, ö, ü, ß, and é). Previously, these characters could appear garbled after import. Your imported data now displays exactly as it should.
• Copy passwords directly from Enpass Assistant- You can now copy a password directly from the Enpass Assistant's password generator. This option was removed in a previous update, is now restored.
• Minor bug fixes and improvements
For Business Users
• Quickly access your vault storage location- Business users can now open the storage location of their shared vaults directly from the Sharing Center, available for OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint Sites vaults.

6.12.0 May 12
What’s New
- This release improves passkey compatibility across more websites and browsers, and makes autofill smarter when you have multiple vaults.
Improvements
- Sign in with passkeys across related domains: Services that run across multiple domains — like regional sites — now work with a passkey created on the main domain. Fewer unexpected sign-in failures, more places your passkeys just work.
- Resolved an issue in vault restoration where vaults created on OneDrive, SharePoint, or Microsoft Teams could fail to restore in certain scenarios for B2B users.
6.11.20 Mar 26
This release introduces a redesigned homepage with guided actions, clearer browser extension prompts, safer Master Password habits, and improved desktop consistency. It also adds enhanced passkey security support, including Pseudo-Random Function (PRF) support. Along with important stability fixes and broader passkey compatibility improvements across websites and browsers.
**Improvements**
-Master Password reminder experience: You’ll now be reminded to re-enter your Master Password from time to time, if you unlock Enpass using biometrics. This helps ensure you never lose access to your encrypted data.
-New homepage experience: Start every session with a redesigned homepage that brings clarity and direction to your Enpass experience. You can quickly understand what to do next, monitor your vault’s security health, and discover relevant premium features in one place.
-Clear prompts to install the browser extension: You’ll now see distinct in-app notifications to help you install the Enpass browser extension, making autofill and password saving more secure and seamless across websites.
-Enhanced passkey security (PRF support): Enpass now supports advanced security enhancements including Pseudo-Random Function (PRF) support as part of passkey creation and sign-in. This improves compatibility, reliability, and alignment with modern WebAuthn standards while keeping existing passkeys fully compatible.
**Bug fixes**
-Vault selection during item creation: New items are now saved to the vault you explicitly select during creation, preventing confusion and ensuring items are stored exactly where expected.
-Improved startup stability: Fixed a rare crash during startup caused by network instability.
-Passkey creation and sign-in fixes: Resolved passkey issues on several supported websites, including Discord, Binance, Google services, Linear, Lululemon, SwissID, and others.

- Other minor bug fixes and improvements.
6.11.15 2025-10-03
Safari Extension Changes:

- Fixed another issue that caused webpages to lag while typing in comments or messages.
New Features for Enpass Business Users:
The Enpass app now supports a wider range of your organization’s password policies and includes new features to strengthen your overall security. If your admin enables them, the app will guide you to follow these policies and ensures your passwords stay protected.
Here’s what’s new:
- Stronger Password Checks: Your company may now require passwords to meet certain rules like minimum length, complexity, or expiration. If a password doesn’t meet those rules, you’ll see it flagged as a "Rule Violating Password".
- Stronger PIN Requirements: Your admin may require a longer minimum PIN to improve the security of your Enpass unlock method.
- Prompt to Change Master Password if Found Compromised: If your admin enables this, Enpass will check your master password against the database of compromised passwords from HaveIBeenPwned.com. If it is found as compromised, you’ll be asked to change it.
- No Autofill on Unsecure (HTTP) Websites: Autofill is not allowed on unsecure websites that use HTTP instead of HTTPS. Your admin may allow exceptions where needed.
- Passkey Sign-in Policy: Your company may allow or restrict the use of passkeys in Enpass. If restricted, you won’t be able to store or sign-in using passkeys.
- Touch-ID Unlock Policy: Your admin may choose to enable or disable Enpass app unlock using Touch-ID.
