Added Security & Authentication (Biometrics & Keychain): The app utilizes the device's native biometric hardware (Face ID / Touch ID via LocalAuthentication) to facilitate secure, passwordless logins. User credentials are encrypted and stored locally utilizing the iOS Keychain, completely bypassing standard web cookie storage for core authentication. Added Push Notifications & OS Badging (APNs): The app integrates with Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to receive real-time hardware alerts from our GPS units. It explicitly manages the OS-level notification tray and natively manipulates the application's home screen icon badge count via the Swift bridge, instantly syncing the OS badge state with the user's read/unread status inside the Angular app. Added Native File Management & Sharing (UIActivityViewController): Report generation (Excel/.xlsx) intentionally bypasses the standard web download flow. The app utilizes native background threading (URLSession) to securely download files by injecting the active web session cookies. It then passes the file to the native iOS Share Sheet (UIActivityViewController), safely anchoring it via UIWindowScene and popoverPresentationController to fully support modern iPads and iPhones. This allows users to seamlessly save, email, or export files to their native Files app. Added Native Print Spooling (UIPrintInteractionController): Instead of relying on standard browser printing, the app intercepts print commands and generates a dedicated, invisible background WKWebView. This isolates the report data and passes its viewPrintFormatter() directly into the native iOS UIPrintInteractionController for exact margin control, hardware-level print formatting, and proper native previewing. Added UI/UX Adaptation: The web layer is programmed to dynamically calculate and respect the physical hardware safe areas (env(safe-area-inset-top)), ensuring the interface seamlessly wraps around the Dynamic Island, camera notches, and home indicators without clipping.
